its like death stranding but its a dating sim

Alright, I originally wrote that as a joke, but the more I play this game, the more it envelops me--as did Death Stranding, but this is... something else entirely.

Normally, I like playing shooter games like Destiny and Helldivers, but Slay the Princess has completely overturned what I thought of as "fun" in a game. It doesn't have moment-to-moment action or cinematic, edge-of-your seat battles (well... maybe a few), but what it does have is a story that has locked me into thinking about it since I bought the game. I have never experienced a story in any form of media that has made me contemplate it as much as this game has. It is so beautifully written, with every possible aspect fleshed out to its fullest. No stone is left unturned, and you are free to explore all sorts of different angles--from sorrow to joy, beauty to pain, and most of all, love. All of these angles culminate in endings that left me (and, evidently, many others) stunned. If that wasn't enough, the soundtrack accompanies every scene magnificently, uplifting a story that is already superb to astronomical levels.

I cannot recommend this game enough. I would happily pay full-price for this: it is a true work of art.
