The same developers made the game Arma 3. Now let's do some basic calculation.
Arma 3 was announced for development in May of 2011. Now lets give the a year beforehand of outlining and brainstorming etc.
That's 2010. The final game (after alpha and beta) was published in Sept of 2013.
That's 3 years of development to come out with a somewhat polished but whole game.

DayZ has been in alpha since the end of 2013. IT IS NOW MID 2017. THAT IS ALMOST 4 YEARS OF BEING IN ALPHA.
THATS LONGER THAN THE ENTIRE SPAN OF DEVELOPMENT FOR ARMA 3.

Buying this game is literally throwing your money away.
You have to be pretty bad programmers or really bad people to take peoples money and not put in effort to finish the game we were paying for to be finished.

When I bought this game I promised myself I'd only get it for the campaign.

I tried to play multiplayer 4 times this week, every single time it said that I couldn't connect to servers.

When the game forces you to keep your word:

My character's breasts hits her in the face when she runs.
