Considering how much I love Tokyo, that didn't help the games rep for me at all. Combat is boringly slow, even in endgame. Ghost side quests mostly make no sense to me since I don't know the folk lore and I'm not googling every single one. Everything feels unfinished with sooo much potential. Sad to write this review.

The first few hours were one of the most overwhelming hours I've ever experienced. It felt like a chore to play. On a positive note the story is very ambitious, enemies are pretty annoying in a good and sometimes bad way but for the most part I had fun. But I can definitely see a casual player struggling with the game.

far beyond what i expected from a 9 year old game

Launching the game is a pain in the ass but it adds to the immersion into the Metro world where nothing ever works as it should. Artyom never speaking will always bother me hah but it was awesome.
