This isn't a game, it's an art piece, and all things considered the admission fee is reasonable. I don't know that I necessarily appreciate it (while I care about mental heath issues, I think their usage in art is overdone and I didn't feel like this was very original), but I respect the work put in. While the themes and to a lesser extent the surrealist aesthetics were not especially compelling, the character design was well done and impressively jarring considering its simplicity. The cashier and the mom were by far the most striking visuals in the piece.

I'm not sure I understand what if any gameplay value this was supposed to have. I always chose the kind options, although during the second to last scene (the one where you start typing responses) I think I made some mistakes as I got the "bad ending" and had to restart, but other than that it was just a straight forward visual novel about grief and psychosis.

From a technical perspective, the saving system is a bit weird, but you probably won't even need to use it. I don't think there's any reason to play this for more than an hour. Other than that I didn't encounter any issues. I have a pretty good PC, but I imagine this would run well on anything. The audio isn't spectacular, but I think it's worth keeping the volume on as it does contribute to the atmosphere.

This game is incredibly difficult. Twice during my playthrough I gave in and looked up an answer, and I regret it. Go into this game blind and never google anything. You will have a lot of fun.

Wonderful game. A mix of exploration, survival, and a small amount of horror. PLEASE go in blind if at all possible, the best part of the game is exploring and slowly uncovering what it has to offer, both the beauty and the terror. Prepare for thalassophobia, claustrophobia, and nyctophobia. I hope you're a fan of bioluminescence, because you won't have much of a choice. And make sure to give the crater's edge a visit, if you push out far enough you will find one of the most enriching environments in the game.

The story is great, and one of the very best examples of storytelling in a relatively sandbox style game. You will rarely ever be overtly pushed to a specific location, and even on those rare occasions that the game tells you you have to go somewhere, you actually don't -- there are no real time limits besides your oxygen meter.

Make sure to give base building a try, it seems a bit intimidating at first but once you have some lithium to use as reinforcement you can really go wild. My first playthrough I built in the safe shallows, but in hindsight that's a little bit boring. I would recommend the mushroom forest or the grassy plateau as starting places, and if you want an end game base the cove tree is great, it's super deep down but completely free of predators, and pretty near some thermal vents.

My one complaint is that the end of the story feels rushed, without spoiling it I will say that when you reach the second to last major milestone the last one is way closer than it should be, to the point that on my first playthrough I confused the two. Also, try to build the Cyclops as quickly as possible, as by the time I built it I didn't really have much time left to use it. There's nothing stopping you from playing forever, but the drive to keep going kinda lessens after you've finished the story and explored everything there is to see. I'd love if eventually there was a sequel where you came back to the planet thousands of years later to explore a much more expansive ecosystem -- I know there is a sequel right now but it isn't very big.

Very fun. Probably the least competetive or defined of Paradox's games, but it tells a good story. Don't expect things to go perfect.

Early Access Review
In my experience, Rimworld is a very fun game. It isn't always balanced and it doesn't always feel fair, but you probably won't care. Ultimately, the game is fun. If you think it looks fun, you will almost definitely like it. It can be extremely challenging or nearly harmless, whichever you want, but the difficulty doesn't seem artificial, and the easier modes still feel engaging. The game has a lot of replayability, but one play through can last long enough to be worth it on its own, especially if you play like I do and try to have the perfect base. There are also a lot of mods if you do get bored. I might have a minecraft profile picture, but I haven't played the game in a long time, so don't make the mistake of thinking that it's like minecraft. The game is more like the sims or spore. In conclusion, you should buy the game if you want too. If you don't want too, then don't buy it. The store page pretty much tells you all you need to know.
