As it stands now this game is not worth even for free.

The style is too arcadey , traversal and movement are one big gimmick with little to no control over the character being used.

I don't even know to what game I should compare this title maybe Overwatch ? And we remember how OW failed and flopped and is blizzard's biggest blunder to date.

The dialogue is atrocious and probably written by an edgy 20 year old teen , this game has no redeeming qualities besides the graphics and the LORE.

But no ammount of LORE can save this one because the gameplay is way too boring and repetitive it's basically jump from one building to another kill mobs rinse and repeat , coupled with a shallow skill tree yea I understand now why they had the 3.5 euro discount for a premium 70 euro game.

Steer clear from this one especially if you are a DC fan , you will end up crying in your pillow late nights when thinking how bad this game is and what they did with the universe.

Not recommended 0/5 stars.

Cheap OW clone , imbalanced heroes , terrible matchmaking in ranked , also everything feels even more cartoony graphics wise then OW.

Game is unplayable in ranked due to cheaters and this game has no redeeming quality , it's just a skill-less OW clone with nothing to show up for.

Heroes have limited to zero mobility , no strafing , hitboxes are not great either and it's mostly a melee spam fest , might aswell just go play brawlhalla atleast that game requires some skill.

Warfare mode it's where it's at , also this is the only contender for BF 2042 atm on the market so I can recommend it until BF 6 gets released.

Extraction is still the same cheater cancer fest but the devs seem to care enough to add more content and maps for Warfare so i'm changing my review to positive.

Deffo worth playing in this FPS drought , it's the second best thing after Battlefield which is saying a lot right now.

So, I've now played the game for around 400+ hours so you don't have to and can objectively say that it doesn’t work as an MMORPG and won’t sustain itself in the long term, not surprised it died in Korea. The game is fun for a few hours, but you quickly reach a point where it devolves into pure grind/second job, and the daily, repetitive, limited task rotation feels more like work than enjoyment.

But first things first. There is a main story and quests, which are fairly good, sometimes including puzzles, and they provide a good introduction to the game. You also get showered with all sorts of items and resources for crafting and upgrading, giving you a constant sense of progression. This phase of the game is quite enjoyable. However, as soon as you reach level 50 and enter the endgame, the game reveals its true face: monotonous mechanics and a repetitive task rotation, bound to various currencies that constantly limit and restrict you.

The open-world dungeons and PvE content differ at best only visually; content-wise, it’s the same mechanics—usually a series of arena fights against bosses. The group dungeons are also extremely small and simple, usually consisting of a few rooms with a final boss whose mechanics are easy to learn. It doesn’t really matter whether you’re fighting an open-world boss, doing a dungeon with a group, completing resistance contracts, or soloing bosses. Everything feels the same, is quickly done, offers little depth, and serves merely to add some visual flair to the gambling aspect, repeated as often as possible to keep dopamine levels high. Nothing has real depth; everything is highly repetitive because it doesn’t matter why or how you kill a boss or complete a mission. The only thing that matters is the anticipation at the end to see if you get the desired item or not. It’s pure gambling mechanics, like at a slot machine—nothing more, nothing less.

And of course, you never get what you want. When a world boss is killed by 150 people but only drops 6 items, with 5 of them always being resources and the last one going not only to just 1 in 150 players but also with a 1 in 15 chance of being the wrong item, you can calculate how long you’ll be killing bosses. That the bosses only appear every few hours and all at the SAME time, so you can only do one boss, I’ll just mention briefly in the context of probability and time factors. For comparison, I’ve been playing for a month now, every day, for over 400 hours. I’ve participated in every guild “raid,” done open-world bosses daily, and at least 3 dungeon runs a day, and I’ve never dropped anything relevant to my meta gear. Not a single usable item for me. You also can’t really play freely; you’re constantly restricted by this time system, the currencies, and limitations. If you can’t kill a world boss at exactly 8 PM to take advantage of your 0.0001% drop chance, you’re just out of luck and can try again the next day.

Every day, you grind through the same boring stuff and even feel pressured because if you don’t play for a few days, the currencies you need for dungeons only accumulate up to a certain point and then expire. This creates pressure that needs to be dealt with. Guild tasks, raids, and bosses are the exact same as solo tasks or open-world bosses. Nothing really stands out or provides a challenge. You only occasionally fail a group dungeon due to a lack of communication from teammates. Everything is tied to endless grinding: resources for crafting, items for the lithography book, and whenever you manage to gather something, you realize it’s just a fraction of what you need to, I don’t know, craft armor—only to have luck spoil it because the crafted item doesn’t have the trait you need. Sure, you can change that, but that, too, is tied to endless grinding. I can’t fully describe how deviously long-winded and boring this system is. I hate to say it, but you’d have to be an idiot not to see it—or to see it and still keep playing the game because I wonder where the gameplay or fun is supposed to be here if you aren’t addicted to gambling and can’t stop.

The game is heavily pay-to-win oriented. PvP fans might want to give it a try, but they should know that without spending real money, progress is minimal. In open PvP, like with conflict bosses, a solo player stands no chance, so joining a guild is almost mandatory. In arena PvP, it’s nearly impossible to get by without real money since gearing up is essential to remain competitive. While you can earn in-game currency (which can also be purchased with real money), it takes forever—and I mean forever—and still isn’t enough to make a significant impact. Don’t even try to play as a healer in the arena.

The PvE content feels like pure busywork, grinding PvP gear that you eventually end up buying or upgrading out of frustration because it takes way too long, is the same boring routine, or you just never get anything useful. In the end, everything boils down to repetitive grinding to slowly—very slowly—get stronger. This monotony makes the game unfortunately very boring and frustrating in the long run, especially since it’s the same thing over and over again. The world is small, the dungeons are irrelevant, there are no raids, boss mechanics aren’t really challenging, the PvE content feels like work, and you can tell that the whole game is just about keeping players hooked—to make them addicted and then get their money.

Speaking of raids. There are raids, but they look exactly like an open-world boss, except that you can exclusively fight this boss as a guild in an arena. But there’s no lead-up to the fight, no old castle, no ship, no enchanted forest—nothing. You just enter a portal and are immediately in front of the boss. Then you fight for 5 minutes, the gambling factor kicks in, because this time you’ll definitely get something, right? Nope, nothing again; quickly move to the next open-world boss. The same clicks as always, nothing dropped again; off to the open-world dungeon. The same mobs, killed the same way, and after 3 hours, still nothing. And that’s the whole day, until your currencies run out and you’re more inclined to buy what you need because you can’t handle the frustration anymore. I really can’t put into words how vile this game is.

Also there is no crafting system and all the material farm is timegated aswell , you need rain in-game to get apple's to craft PvP food which is on an hourly schedule , whoever designed this is a nut case.

If you managed to read this far I just want to enforce how pay 2 win this game is one last time and being in a top guild won't help you either because you have to roll against dozens of people and all the builds are mostly shared atleast a few items , I managed to get one talus staff across 400 hours from my guild and that was it , while having top DKP to boot, items just don't drop and when they do it's a bidding war with the clannies and you wait months for 1 item.

Save your money and your time and invest it in anything but this game , literally anything but this game , it's a sad time when MMORPG's have moved to a full p2w mechanics and super scarce drops , this game is worst then Lost ark and that's saying A LOT.

I just finished my 100% Steam achievements, as there’s not much left to do, and then I’m uninstalling this garbage. Absolutely no recommendation from me, and I’m not saying this out of frustration but from an objective realization that has matured over 400 hours of game time.

God bless if you managed to read this far.

After spending 125 hours with this game I can honestly say it was a big waste of time.

This is a souless shell of a game compared to Destiny 2 / Warframe / Borderlands and pretty much any looter shooter out there.

There is no endgame , no PvP , the char customization are all pretty much buy 2 use as in dyes with real cash.

Graphics we're good and the combat/shooting mechanics carried the game for a bit but it's just a neverending , contentless mindless grinder.

The game encourages you to buy descendants with real cash because the grind is just too tedious and the drop rates are abysmal.

I don't recommend this game to anyone maybe just to get you past a heatwave in your hometowm or you are in huge gaming drought otherwise not worth the time investment.

1/5 *****

The most overrated game this year ! REVIEW ( mid game at best )

First i want to preface that i was very hyped about this game and it is a total letdown and a very repetitive and mindless and boring experience.

Let's start with the graphics which are console grade graphics from 2015 era and nobody talks about it , dull repetitive gameplay , zero depth , lazily designed enemy behaviour with only a handful of enemy types and the same boring washed out maps , unplayable during the night because of how awful the shaders are.

The progressions system is not rewarding at all and 90% of the weapons are unfun the only thing that carry the gameplay are the stratagems and you can barely use them in a group of 4 with everyone spamming them. Armor perks are useless and the variety is non-existant.

It's a glorified hoarde mode with a 3d person POV this time around and top down like the previous one , just enter mission do 2 objectives kill a few bugs and bots and extract.

The difficulty scaling and the many ranks of it is just to inflate how little the content is put into this game , as of now this game is barebones.

Will not even go into the rootkit level anticheat and connectivity issues , p2w will show it's true colors in a bit and matchmake being broken since launch lol.

Last but not least let's talk about all the constant nerfs with each patch , they are trying to remove the fun from this game on a constant basis especially since this is a glorified hoard mode and nothing else , why would they change the balance each patch for a PvE game ?

Pretty sure I covered everything , sorry but this game ain't it.

For fans of RGG maybe it's passable for gamers that strive to have a great story and combat and an open world it's an easy skip.

Climbing mechanics are dreadful , story is cliche and annoying , souless city with a few aimless NPCS and the combat is WAAAY to easy and arcadey/boring.

Feels like point and click on most sequences and the investigations are extremely tedious.

I still can't fathom why so many people are rating this so high.

Overpriced DLC , until they fixed the dumb method of leveling guns and add a proper leveling path and not include glitches or zombies or DMZ farms im out.

Graphics are decent , but movement and gunplay are really lackluster.

At the end of the day it's the same corridor shooter since ever , year after year after year.

This franchise died with Call of Duty II.

No ultrawide support as of launch , very generic and claustrophobic maps , all in all i don't recommend it at all.

Maybe at a 50% discount , low player count aswell , just don't bother with it.

Early Access Review
Being an OUTLAST 1/2 veteran I got this game with high hopes , especially since it involved multiplayer component but as of now it seems the game is plagued with all sorts of matchmaking issues and finding a group outside of discord is impossible as a new player.

Also this game gets really boring after a few runs , same jump-scares , the gameplay is barebones since it's mostly hide / pick up item run through the exit , the maps are boring so are the layouts , it basically feels like playing the same map over and over.

The horror elemements are just not present compared to the single player games that are truly masterpieces. I get that the early access isn't finished yet but what's the point of grinding the same 3 maps over and over , the asking price is too steep for what little content this thing has.

Shame outlast 3 had to die for this unfinished mess. I really don't recommend this game.
