this is by far the best rendition of the backrooms mythos you will find in game form. no ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cringey "entities" made by 12 year olds, no crayon drawings on the walls, almond water or any other wiki crap.

amazing escher-esque puzzle game, at its current price even w/o sale its still a complete steal

the game literally doesn't have an exit/close button so it's effectively unplayable in steam deck/big picture

amazing game with super tight and satisfying combat, stunning art & voice acting (theres like a million recorded voicelines for all the 20+ characters) and a great story - do yourself a favor and buy it asap

made a post complaining about the headbob and the developer added a patch to add a toggle literally next day. this is feedback response done right. THANKS!

mouse camera movement is broken, only playable with controller (+ no controller sensitivity setting).

FOV setting not working properly since it doesn't scale with the helmets size, effectively making the game unplayable at anything else than base fov. also no 21:9 support.

the game certainly has its share of problems that desperately need to be adressed asap and some minor bugs here and there but for the most part the game works fine and is enjoyable, performance is good too.

the environments, world building and setting are just amazing, they remind me of the BLAME comic aesthetic. im pretty sure they drew inspiration from it. music is very cool too.

now it really needs to get some stuff fixed, like enemy health bars sometimes not appearing, UI set on "always" not appearing, getting stuck in rocks and that sort of things. the stamina system could get a bit of attention too since its definitely not ideal right now. max base FOV is really low too at least for my tastes (80º) but it can be easily tweaked with UUU. the double-tap to roll is ♥♥♥♥ too, hope they allow us to rebind it to a single key click.

fov is complete ♥♥♥♥ too at 55º. it can be partially fixed via flawlesswidescreen, it allows +30º (85º total max) which is far from optimal but at least makes the game playable.

edit 2:

turning vsync ingame and setting vsync on on nvidia control panel & gsync on seemingly disabled the mouse smoothing. try it and lmk
