Overall enjoying it, but I can see where the mixed reviews come from. The foundational pieces they made I think are really good, and I think after a few patches, updates and DLC will make this my favorite Civ.

Love:
- Age system. Breaks up game into a bunch of unique chunks with own conditions, and keeps things from getting stale.
- Cities/Town management. Love the concept of a city vs town and how the towns support the cities but only cities have production. Also pop management/improvements much nicer.
- No builders. Love it.

Not good:
- UI: The UI has some pretty rough edges. Lot of UI related bugs. Main pattern of one being stuff often doesn't update/refresh after you take some action until you close it and go back.
- Civilopedia/Tooltips: I find myself having no idea wtf I am doing a large part of the time. The Civilopedia isn't very helpful, and tooltips feel almost non-existant, where in other games they were top notch. Overall, information is super lacking - fewer map lenses, harder to see what is in your city and where, can't see what you just built, etc.
- Religion. They simultaneously nerfed it - because it mostly only applies to one age and it seems like there are fewer bonuses to it - but also still kept the annoying part of Missionary micromanagement. This time, missionaries can't even fight or interact with each other, so I feel like this could have just been a town "Project" for a town with a temple that sends out some religious influence when you complete it, and stop all the micromanagement.

Great game. Can play casually, but can also be super mentally challenging in a great way if you want to build a cool and efficient factory.

Sort of mixed thoughts on this one - interesting concept, but the execution is a mess. Awkward controls/key binds, the worst tutorial I've ever played in any game in my life, UI is so bad, and then just thrown into the deep end of a civilization without any real idea of what you are supposed to do.
Reading other reviews, you're too much at the mercy of a random other player dedicating time to helping you, which leads to a very unfulfilling play session if you aren't so lucky.

Pure adrenaline

Will murder a full grove innocents for Minthara any day of the week.

Extremely questionable programming / bugs, but the foundation of what is there seems really solid. Once they get through bugs they've got a good platform to keep adding content to that prioritizzes PvP and is casual friendly.

Super fun, laid back game. Great mix of skill, luck, and humor.
