While this might not be the best "game" out there, it certainly is one of the best audio/visual experiences in my opinion.

The visuals are absolutely stunning and this isn't a surprise considering that its from the same art director as Journey. Paired along with beautiful original soundtracks, ambient background music and immersive sound effects; it really is quite an experience and a great way to kill a couple of hours.

Given that this is more of an exploration and ̶w̶a̶l̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ swimming simulator type of game with little to no story, it might not be everyone's cup of tea. However, with its current sale at 75% off, it definitely is worth trying out at the very least!

Early Access Review
[Original review posted on 2nd March, edited on 23rd June]

In the 3 months since I posted the review, almost every single aspect of my feedback and suggestions have been implemented into the game. The game isn't perfect and there's still a lot more content that needs to be added, but the silver lining here is that it is quite obvious that the devs read and care about the player's feedback and are constantly updating the game.

In my previous review, I recommended the game but I tried to highlight the many flaws and lack of content that the game had. But after seeing the massive progress that has been made in just a few months, I am excited to see what more the devs can bring to the table.

The new features, locations, bug fixes, etc. are all great, but personally, I am now waiting for more full fledged story content to be added. Once the devs implement the full story and game is finally out of early access, I think that is when I will sit down and spend some more time in the game. Can't wait to see what's next!

Sometimes it can be very hard to express your thoughts or feelings to the people around you. At the same time, you really want to open up so you can free up some space in your mind, but it is very hard.

I'm exactly that kind of person and I'm so glad that I gave Kind Words a shot. I've only been using it for a week now and I can already feel a difference in my overall mood. The anonymity of it all makes it so wonderful. The feeling of being able to express yourself without fear of judgement is truly remarkable.

It has also been quite fulfilling to be able to read other's letters and offer advice or even just sympathize with them. It's a great feeling knowing that your words might help someone, somewhere feel better.

The community in this game was honestly something I did not expect at all. When was the last time you played an online game or maybe visited a forum and had absolutely no toxic encounters? This game is quite literally the needle in the haystack. Even if you're not having a bad day, you can still go into the game and read the little notes that people are writing in their paper airplanes, listen to the chill lofi music and enjoy being among positive people.

10 years ago, if you would have told me that one of my favorite games on Steam would be a game where we just write letters to each other, I would have probably laughed at you. But here we are. I highly highly highly recommend everyone to try it out, you won't regret it! :)

The developers and publishers behind the game are truly masterminds! Hats off to them honestly...
They have literally enticed their audience with the concept of a cat as a main character! OMG THIS GAME IS GOING TO BE EPIC!!!!!! RIGHT?

WRONG.

As a cat lover myself, I eagerly waited for the game's release, only to be utterly disappointed. Yes the main character is a cute cat, yes the environments look amazing, but beyond that, the game is just so bland with no unique or redeeming features. The gameplay became stale and mechanics felt repetitive all too quickly. But wait, there is a dedicated meow button!! Wooohooo :D
The story is just random and I was not able to connect with the main character, a stray cat! Like why are robots recruiting an animal and making it go on missions and side quests lol? "Oh hello little kitty, take all this electronic equipment and go fix the radio tower at the other end of the city." B!tch I'm a cat, I want to sleep for 16 hours and eat food. Why are you giving me IT support quests?!
The mindless chases by the zurks seem so out of place. If I wanted to be chased around by braindead creatures, I would just choose to play a good zombie game.

This game is a gimmick and a really good one at that, judging by the overwhelmingly positive reviews it has right now. Videogamedunkey said it perfectly when he asked the question, "Would people still care about this game if you didn't play as a cat?". And the answer to that question is an absolute NO.

How can a company mess up this bad? The controller almost always bugs out in the menu to the point where you can't select anything and you're forced to restart the game in order to simply navigate through the menu. If you get lucky enough to not have that bug, then there's a 9/10 chance that the game will simply crash :)

Well done EA, you have once again proved to the world that you are incapable of doing the very basics.

Smooth mechanics, the guns and movement feels great and matchmaking is almost instant! Both big battle and quick play are super fun, especially if you're playing with a group of friends. So far the only con I have for the game is that you can't select what game mode or map you're queueing for. Other than that it's an overall treat and the game is free so it's definitely worth checking out!

Nice game to have either with friends or even online/solo. You can create private lobbies for friends only or quickly join into casual public lobbies online. Ranked mode is quite fun too but takes roughly 10 minutes to find players for full lobby to start sometimes. Overall the game is great, and its free so you have nothing to lose (except all your chips)!

Please note: my negative review is purely for the CONTROLLER aspects of the game. If you plan on playing this with keyboard and mouse, ignore this review.

I had my eye on this game for a while and finally decided to buy it, along with some other games because I wanted slowly move away from the hardcore FPS games and play something casual and chill - specifically, games that I would be able to play with my XBOX controller.

Sadly, the movement feels so weird and clunky on the controller and it was just plain annoying to play with it. I tried the game with the mouse and keyboard and it was so much more responsive and I really felt like I was in control of the direction and pacing of the ball. I tried changing the sensitivity settings for the controller but it really came no where close the mouse and keyboard gameplay.

I was really looking forward to playing this but unfortunately I have requested a refund for now. I will keep an eye on it and maybe buy it back if I hear about some update or fixes, because in its current state it is absolutely unplayable on the controller, in my opinion.

When I saw the price of the game, I was a bit skeptical at first...Thought it might be a bit too expensive. But after seeing the reviews and some gameplay, I decided to take a leap of faith and purchase it.

Right off the bat, the gameplay was extremely fun, unique and really really smooth. Visually, the game is outstanding and the world keeps looking better and better as you proceed. Sound design and music were great too, especially towards the later parts of the game. The mechanics and gameplay are easy to pick up and the puzzles aren't that hard either so this makes it perfect for gamers of any sort, even if you don't have much experience with them previously! Plus the mini games really help to change things up for a bit and have some friendly competition with your buddy!

The "Friend's Pass" really sold the game for me because I was able to play the game with 2 other friends separately and all of us enjoyed it. In the end, while the price of the game might seem quite high to many people, I can say that it was 100% worth it for what you get. We played it casually and took about 14 hours to finish the main story as well as the mini games. And you can always just buy the game and split the price between your friends if that makes it more appealing to purchase it!

Highly recommended! This game is a must play for all!
