if you don't like ddr don't play this, options are keyboard or controller I'd go for keyboard tbh, can be very complex since theres 3 different screens too slow on easy and too hard on hard mode

I really like the direction Bethesda is headed, great improvement from Skyrim (maybe slightly) but honestly the mods is what saved this game, Bethesday really needs to be one step ahead of the modders and implment things that should have already been there from release. Even if it takes longer for them to release the game it'll be worth the game. Then again there might be an update along with the DLC that will change and fixes thing.
