The characters, main story and comically absurd side missions are great. Exploring the entertainment district, collecting things and trying out the mini games is fun too. Graphics are not impressive from a purely technical standpoint but they do an excellent job of conveying those japanese entertainment district vibes.

What's not so great about the game is combat, especially during boss fight which turn into a slogfest. That car chase shooting section is also terribad made even worse by the bad checkpoint placement. If you rage quit during that sequence you have to redo the whole section with boss fight before it.

If you get annoyed by the combat maybe just turn the difficulty down to easy and enjoy the game for the story.

Never played Fable before so I don't have any nostalgia for it. Overall it could have been an okayish game but there are to many annoyances that ruined the fun for me.
Combat is somewhat lame. For example you can knock down enemies with a charge attack but while the enemies are knocked down you can't attack them. This is especially annoying in combination withe the time slowdown spell because you have to wait forever for the enemies to get up again. In the end you just try very hard to not knock down the enemy. Enemy variety with regard to the required fighting strategy isn't very high either. Way too often you just end up fighting the same enemies over and over again while traversing one of the many long tube-like levels.
The UI is cumbersome to navigate which made me just stop trying to use all the different possible interactions with NPCs. Then there are a bunch of minor bugs, which aren't really game breaking but still are annoying and on top of it all you get the classic crapshow of Unreal engine texture pop-ins.

Super cute little game with some catchy songs. The game is rather short when you just playing through the story once but it's fun while it lasts.

Any gentleman who fancies himself a bit of an intellectual and connoisseurs of Japanese high culture should have this game in his collection if he wants to be taken seriously by other enjoyers of the fine arts, desu.
It's basically Shokugeki no Soma turned into a rhythm game with the lewdness turned up to eleven. I find the music ranges from bearable to ear-wormish good, but tastes vary so just listen to the OST on youtube and decide if you could enjoy the game with that music. Graphics are mostly okay except for the potato quality textures used for some of the GUI elements. The physics, the most important part of every rhythm game of this special kind, aren't very realistic but serviceable because everything jiggles with excitement.

The game gets a high umai / 10 rating from me.

Navigating the menu to the game I want to play is annoyingly cumbersome and there doesn't seem to be a way to launch directly into a specific game, game roms aren't directly accessible to play them in another emulator and downloading 1.5gb to play games where the rom files are around 20mb is peak bloat.
I'm still giving a thumbs up just for making Progear legally available for 2€ and because Capcom got their ♥♥♥♥ together and started selling the games individually instead of forcing you to buy bundles of games when you are only interested in a single game, and technically everything just works.
