It's ok.

On a serious note, PoE is an excellent ARPG, with good core gameplay, decently fluid movement and as a standout feature the one of the deepest pool of character building options out of any game. I keep returning to it because there is always so much more to learn and to discover.

One of the largest issues is that the game is relatively grindy (no surprise from an online ARGP or an MMO, though), and it takes some time to get into the game.

The game developer seems to do it's best to improve the game league-to-league, year-to-year. I'll flat out say not every patch or league is perfect - some of them are even bad - but the core end-game manages to stay excellent with consistent small improvements.

If you seek to just kill the biggest and baddest bosses it'll probably take 50~100 hours if you have some guidance. If you seek to become excellent at making your own builds and scaling them efficiently, you'll likely have to sacrifice over 1000 hours, and plenty of that is spent in 3rd party sites and software. If that is not your thing, the rest of the game is only "good".

It's not a game for everyone, it has plenty of content for many, and it is easily one of the best games for some. I can't recommend it to most people, but it has cemented it's place in ARPG hall-of-fame for a reason,

Apex is a solid FPS game with absolutely stellar movement options (very fluid movement, easy to learn, hard to master, many tricks to learn, extremely rewarding).

Gun gameplay is industry standard or better, the battle royale aspect works well, positioning on the map matters a lot, and the ranked system is actually pretty good (as of season 12 second split) - at least from silver to diamond. Also the item system overall is well functioning.

The few maps the game has get updated in a minor way maybe twice every year, and they get cycled in and out of ranked at a reasonable rate. Content feels relatively fresh since the gameplay just works so well.

Visual clarity is good, the game runs quite well. Game breaking bugs are very rare. No comments on the skin ecosystem since I don't really care about that stuff.

Overall 9/10, feels great to play. I've also played this on Origin, around a total of 1,5k hours.

Notable gripes:
There's reoccuring bugs/issues with lobbies every now and then;
Average player will meet plenty of smurfs while ranking up;
No deathmatch mode so you can't actually practice aim or basic combat like in CS:GO or similar games.
