it's a short game. finished the main story and did some of the post game stuff within 4 hours.

It's cute. It's got cool art. It's funny. I enjoyed committing tax evasion.

Florence is a beautiful short interactive story with lovely artwork and a beautiful soundtrack. I teared up a lot.

An underrated hidden gem. An amazing soundtrack. Interesting concept on combining hack and slash gameplay with rhythm games. Charming story and characters. Great visuals. Genuinely feels like a game of the year to me personally for 2023.

With the social hub, you can compete with your friends to see how many pedestrians you can hit before you start driving legally.

This game encourages vehicular homicide and hit and runs.

I really enjoy this game, but I do think it very much feels like an incomplete game sometimes. Personally, I really enjoy roguelikes with progression and unlocks, and while this game has progression and unlocks, it feels rather quick to unlock all the characters and unlockables. For context, I have 100% in the binding of issac, and over a thousand hours in that game.

That being said, I think this game as is is good, and because the devs actively add major content updates, I genuinely think this game will keep getting better and better. The game definitely changes some parts of the core mechanics from time to time in its update. For example, looping used to be super easy, then it became super hard when they added this ghost to follow you around, and then it became relatively easy. The characters they add pretty much are always novel and add something fresh, mostly balanced, and just pretty fun. They add new mechanics that change the game in cool ways (like the angel and devil room using the currency you can build up from doing runs)

Nowadays, I pick this game back up for a little bit when there's a new update, but still think it's a solid game. Think it just needs to have a little bit more content overall.

I wish Devil Deals were better, as it feels like Devil Deals got nerfed heavily, and the reason I take Devil deals at this point is mostly zane

I wish mod support was less laggy. It's nice that the barrier to entry for mod creating is a lot lower than other games, and that there is a lot of workshop content, but when running many mods, the game gets moderately laggy without anyway to allocate more resources towards the game.

But overall, great game with great workshop content for after you 100% the game (which will probably take you a lot of time anyway)

The changes in the November 2021 patch really ironed out a lot of issues that I had with the game.

Having 100%d the game, tainted lost is a fine character in concept, but there shouldn't be any room that is impossible to avoid taking damage. For example, having orbiting tears from an item like Saturnus, and entering a secret room from the top where there is TNT will kill you upon entry. I guess a way I could have theoretically avoided that is by avoiding picking up a fun item, but I would rather just avoid having rooms that can damage you right on entry.

Overall, transformative DLC that really changed a lot, and for the better.

snappy controls, great pacing, and good story.
