Beyond the memes and jokes, it is a competent enough shooter, a fun follow-up to the first game. Technically the game is nothing to write home about, it it tends to be CPU bound more that anything and there are graphical and physics glitches here and there.
The developers have struggled with the balance of the game and unpopular nerf patch after patch soured a lot of the community, fortunately it seems to have gotten a better footing as of late.

This is my go to game to relax, while battling the urge to toss the steam deck across the room, great fun, even better with friends that crash your trucks, the best when you do it to them in return, but you also manage to find a novel way of putting heavy things in to orbit.

It's free, it's full of grinding, and the monetization doesn't suck... Have I mentioned space ninjas and a convoluted story ?

I have been playing this game in a for or other for years.
At one point I was doing my own modules and modding textures.
But now, now I'm just enjoying the new expansion with my dad and a mate.
Now don't get me wrong, the game is old, and some of the controls are a bit janky, things that the modern games like Diablo 3 and Path of Exile have refined.
Still, there's a ton of content to be had, a ton of modding potential with the added bonus of Steam workshop, and some decent graphical options for the largest of modern screens.
As a bonus, the original team that made this game is now part of Crate Entertainment, just look for Grim Dawn for another big chunk of game.

Good fun but still has that CA funk, where things may act janky or the AI looses the plot.
Still you take the bad with the good, and that good is that the modding comunity.

A bit janky and a bit weird, I mean how am I the only one who gets a single die of loot after collecting all the tomes and dice on a map D:.
The content may get a bit repetitive but the devs are slowly releasing new stuff, in the form of DLC.
Over all a great romp fith friends, especialy when they have free weekends and yo get a population increase.

A great improvement over the original and a whole bunch of fun as long as you like the Diablo series. And as a bonus you get to run around with your friend and mod the hell out of the game.
I recomend the Synergies mod.
