The most boring and phoned in Assassins Creed yet.

Pretty good side scrolling and platforming shoot-em up. The default controller keybinds are kind of weird (left trigger to jump?). Funny, light-hearted story with exaggerated mobster tropes.

There's a hidden system that determines whether you land a shot or not rather than whats displayed on screen. A system that you can't beat with savescumming. Reloaded a save over 40 times for a 70% chance to hit shot and missed all 40 times. How is this chance? The game already decided my success or failure, so it's useless to depend on strategy or tactics.

The artstyle is great imo. The animation quality and sprite models are top notch.
The story is pretty basic and require the acquisition of scrolls to really go indepth, which is hard to do with some of the games mechanics.
The physics based puzzles are really ruining this game for me. They feel like pure luck that I've completed them because of lack of precision in aiming the player character when being repelled and attracted by the magnetic mechanic.
The puzzles that don't require ultra-precise magnet based character movement are really clever and satisfying to solve.
The bosses are lackluster though, with easy mechanics to figure out after multiple tries.

Simply amazing. Not too hard, not too easy.

Was expecting a metroidvania style game with rpg system. Got reskinned Ghouls and Ghosts intead. Game is too hardcore for my casualness.

I wasn't prepared for the difficulty of this game. Hyper Light Drifter has many frustrating enemies and environment traversing that for the most part requires your complete attention to overcome. This game is not for casual audiences. I'd probably like the game more if there were an easy difficulty settings but that would probably cheapen the game.

Built from the ground up to appease only the most hardcore of players.
The worst community of unhelpful and incredibly critical players.
