First of all, justice for Mick Gordon, nobody deserves to be treated in that manner how id Software did it to him;
Second of all, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is amazing, Probably the best modern arena shooter and it's going to stay for many years to come.

The gameplay is absolutely phenomenal. The varitety of weapons and demons in this game is pure bliss. The arena designs are top notch, which work flawlessly with double jumps and dash mechanics. This also adds up with the The Ancient Gods DLCs, which amplify the gameplay to a sweaty ass level, which is a huge plus. The character progression is also counted into unlocking secret encounters, Slayer gates, and map exploration, to which every single aspect adds a layer of depth to gameplay and its loop. The boss fights, apart from The Dark Lord, are all great. The fights test you in every aspect of the game you learned up to that moment, and will try to amp it to eleven. The best boss is probably the Gladiator. The amount of agressiveness, patience, and thinking for this fight is crazy. You would probably play this game for 500 hours and you would still want more. I haven't tried master levels yet, mostly because of my hardware limitations which are listed below with my take on graphics.

The animations for glory kills are also fantastic, giving our lovely Doomguy a handblade which makes for such creative ways to dismember the demons, and they are satisfying to pull off.

The graphics, even though I've handicapped myself by playing on a 8 year old rig, still looked pretty solid and most areas are beautiful to look at (i.e. Sentinel Prime outside areas, Exultia, the Fortress of Doom and most importantly, The World Spear), and it manages to run pretty smoothly up to 60 fps which is desirable. However, due to my limitations of VRAM (RX550 2GB lmao who is this guy), it tends to get choppy but still playable. I think I would sink hundreds of hours if I had more stable framerate,

The story tho........ it's mid. It's corny in a good way (the game makes you feel like a immortal badass which only feeds of killing demons), but also weird (TAG1 and TAG2 are at fault here). If you wanted a story of DOOM, play any other game please, there are too many exposition dumps (looking at Dr. Hayden), weird monologues (The Dark Lord, Khan Maykr, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SERAPHIM). Also why did they do my man VEGA like that???

All in all, the gameplay and its loop exceed over the scale of 10, but the story gets a passable 5 out of 10. They could've really done a better job with storywriting. But the gameplay overweighs this puny story to a point which it doesn't matter anymore. You're a badass. You're a badass killing demons. You're a badass using 15 weapons to murder everything in your path. RIP AND TEAR, UNTIL IT IS DONE.

An update to my old review! Bought a new CPU and GPU so I can play at 1080p, pouring over 100 hours and will probably pour more into this game because it just never gets boring. Finished TAG1 and TAG2 on Ultra-Nightmare and it was a blast. Yes, Samur's boss fight is simple in design but depthful in execution, The Dark Lord still feels like a glorified Marauder with 5 phases. I'm coming for the Ultra-Nightmare trophy for the Campaign and Master levels, testing and perfecting my patience and skills.

Oh and Battlemode just exists. It's nothing special with the amount of people playing Dreadknights and Revenants making your life miserable as the Slayer.

All in all, never stop ripping and tearing, because at the end of the day, the only thing they fear is YOU.
