Sort of complicated UI, but usable. Very nice for creating 3D models, but it takes a while to actually get used to Blender, I was on and off for a few weeks before trying to sit down and make something. After sitting down I actually made some stuff without be bored and now I'm hooked. Ignore my 100+ hours, I've mostly sat there with Blender open in the background doing nothing or watching tutorials, I think I actually have 20+ hours of work.

So I originally rated with a recommendation, but after reading several reviews, I too had encountered problems other players had. I made a rash decision recommending the game as I had followed a hype train since 2016 and was excited to support the game.

Several problems I and other players encountered were units being crushed under dead units. This often lead to many stalled games where one unit would be hiding under bodies, thus preventing an end to a round. Other problems are the unit balancing. The Hoplite, costing 180, compared to the Brawler, costing 220, completely outmatched the Brawler in many situations because of its superior range. Other things were the complete removal of many units, which I can understand because I believe that engines were switched in the development process. With the lack of units from the development, the game gets boring, fast. Sure, you get some fun with Mammoth hunting with Ballistas and Valkyries against archers (its fun to see the Valkyries dropping like stones from a single shot), but there are only so many things you can do with the units. So after a few hours, you get bored. The game also chugs with large amounts of units. Personally, I'm running the game with a dual core 3.2 Ghz CPU and a GTX 750ti so of course I cannot put too many units. Still, it's hard to run the game with even 40 units.

All in all, the game is not good in its current state. The implementation of new units and the unit creator would be a great refresher, with map creator and multiplayer sweetening the deal. So far, TABS is not living up to its expectations. Maybe later I will come back and recommend it, but for now, I will not recommend it.

Note: They have stated that the price might stay the same or increase to $19.99 when TABS fully releases, so if you want to continue to support them or get the game for a price that might be $5 less than full release, so buy it now I guess if you want to save a few bucks.

These are some of the unkind players I have met during my playtime, other than that, most have been pretty chill.
