Only played 20 or so minutes of this so far and it's the most fun I've had in a 1v1 game in YEARS. Dozens of fun maps, high-octane movement tech rivaling Titanfall's, and snappy, quick rounds keeping everything fresh.

AND THIS IS FREE???

I adore odd games like this, it really tested my endurance and commitment - especially when I began to feel Real Despair in the last couple chapters. Absolutely worth the experience for the right person.

I bought this nearly sight unseen, yet within 24 hours of play it has more than earned its spot as one of my favorite games of all time.

Brutal Orchestra is a skeleton of familiar roguelike mechanics, built into a beautiful monster with a meaty, addictive gameplay loop; a cerebral, engrossing combat system; a soundtrack brimming with earworms; and an eye-boggling variety of both enemies and unlockable characters, all wrapped in a skin of compelling, unique art direction and world-building.

Which then tells you a story, full of humor and thoughtful moments.

It isn't without its minor blemishes -- I'd love to see Quality of Life upgrades like a bestiary and/or compendium for the laundry list of enemies and other details, and the game really can be Brutal (note the capital B) sometimes, even when you know what you're doing -- but the flaws are absolutely part of the charm.

This game isn't for everyone, but if you like roguelikes, uniqueness, or even just a good challenge, Brutal Orchestra is lurking around the corner, waiting to knock you the ♥♥♥♥ out.

That it has fewer than 1000 reviews is an abomination.

100/10.

Wonderful little detective/logic game in the same vein as Return of the Obra Dinn. My one complaint is it's a little short, as I finished it at a casual pace in just under 5 hours. Definitely worth supporting these devs so they can keep making great story presentations like this!

I will shill for this game more often than I will shill for Xbox Game Pass for PC, and that's saying something.

Fun gameplay, great developers, and the highest standard of pubs you'll find in any online multiplayer game.

edit: I'm now approaching 1000 hrs in this game. It's ok I guess

You get what you expect: a really fun digital toy centered on the vert skating experience. Calm, flow-type game with good sound design and simple controls. It's great as-is and well worth the money for a coffee break game to relax your brain.

Would love to see small additions like a spine transition or stall moves like the disaster or rock and roll.

Feels like they figured out how to make a fish jumping out of water feel really good and then built a great game around it. Abstract puzzle platforming, 3 of my favorite words in gaming.

steam asked me to review this because i have 500 hours on record

i think when you hit 500 hours in a game, steam should just post a review saying "this person played 500 hours of the game, what more do you want"
