I like this game.

It's the sort of chill free-roaming sandbox experience I enjoy. You wander from location to location grabbing everything that isn't nailed down, take it back to your base and break it all down into crafting mats. Each area also has a special hidden "mystical chest" that contains a weapon or armor blueprint. It's been fun hunting down the 'super' chest because they're pretty well hidden most of the time.

Something else that's very nice is you can move your entire base and set it down somewhere else. It can be tricky to find another spot that works but no need to break everything down and move it one bag load at a time. I wish more survival sandboxes just let me move my base.

The AI for the normal enemies isn't great, but there's still some fun to be had in sneaking up on them and killing them before they can do anything. I will also give the devs credit for the faction of 'deviant' enemies, which provide a nice contrast to the traditional gun wielding mooks you see in every third person shooter. Each region also has a big unique boss at the end of it too.

The equipment system has some cool ideas as well. Armor and weapons have keywords in this game. There are also "Key Armor" pieces that enhance specific keywords. I just crafted some gloves that make my weapon's burn DoT tick faster the more stacks the enemy has. Armor also has set bonuses. Armor and weapons also have sockets which take mods. Higher quality mods also interact with keywords.

And for once, the monetization is great. As far as I can tell it's literally all just cosmetic: weapon skins, armor skins, and stuff to make your base look cooler. It's great.
