Pirate Jam 15 curbed my fear of Blender. Thanks, Thor!

(most of my hours are falling asleep watching tutorials, though)

Overall I'm having a fun time learning, and that is the point of using Blender to me.

Come make stuff with us!

I appreciate the concept behind Virtual Cottage. From a producer's perspective, the inability to adjust the ambient sound levels individually is a major design flaw. Only allowing for one ambient sound at a time is really limiting, and such a decision in a 'game' like Virtual Cottage is quite odd. Additionally, the overall experience feels somewhat bland. Interestingly, the average lo-fi study-beat videos on YouTube seem to capture the essence of Virtual Cottage more effectively and with greater detail. If the vibe is all you are after, you're better off just using YouTube. I have adopted the method Virtual Cottage uses to reinforce a good workflow, though. Set a timer, clear your second monitor of distractions (keep the visual stimulus if you prefer), put on some music, and then focus on your tasks. Am I going to keep using the application until I earn 100% of the achievements for it? Yep! Would I recommend Virtual Cottage as it stands? No, and only for the reasons mentioned in my review. If the developer were to allow the use of all ambient sounds at once and maybe offer a color palette selector or something similar for the backgrounds, pets, and furniture, then I would gladly recommend this cozy application.

The game has issues with dual screen setups and refuses to launch the right way the first time, forcing you to launch the game twice every time you want to play. (the game has issues picking what monitor to use resulting in it being stuck between both, and falling out of proper fullscreen, which cannot be remedied short of restarting, otherwise when you alt+enter out and back into the app, it moves the location of interactables on screen making it hard to click the buttons you want to click.) When you have such a game-breaking yet trivial error that has been present since day 1 and you still haven't fixed it, it's a bad sign as a developer.

I've had a Korean-backdoor rootkit installed on my hardware since 2017 and only recently found out. I think PA has removed the anti-cheat that contained this rootkit, however old users are potentially still at risk!

Steaming this game with a friend got me a PERMANENT BAN from live-streaming on TikTok! I tried appealing it, and their robots deemed it as 'sexual content,' denying my appeal and banning me from EVER going live again on their platform!

This game was offline when I purchased it, and I didn't know until afterwards. The only reason I have 8 hours is from idling in the game to get my trading cards.Looking further into my purchase, I came to realize the game had been offline for more than a year at the time I bought my copy. I really wish the best for the development team with all their hardships, however, we should not allow Valve to sell these offline games. Valve needs to be more on top of this kind of thing, and it should have been removed from the Steam store the second the game went offline indefinitely. The gaming industry as a whole really needs to start offering peer-to-peer multiplayer capabilities in the event that something does happen or time goes on, resulting in the game going offline.

Early Access Review
GZW Is just not there yet, at all. The game is so dull & lackluster. From the gameplay to the world design, (which is unjustly-praised for some reason?) with all the issues it has & where the game is currently, it's not even worth a fart. This is not the game we all wanted it to be, by any means. I'm doubtful it will ever reach that quality, but you never know. Until I see some serious changes, though, I've requested for a refund. Give this one more time in the incubator.

Game servers are P2P and fail to connect. The game failed to launch in 2016 and there is no way to play in 2024. Hamachi and other services could potentially work but I've done no testing. We'd love to play but it seems this was a waste of money.
