You can turn the music off, and the sound effects down, but the dialogue remains at 100%. No option to change it. The game reverts to original (read: bad, like every Lego game) resolution settings every time you alt-tab out.

Requires too much grinding for the overall gas station level, stocking things is more of an annoyance than a chore. Washing cars is finnicky until you unlock the auto-wash. Feels like it's mostly ok but there's just too many small things they neglect to make me comfortable recommending it.

Honestly, not a bad game. If you like Lego games, this'll scratch the itch. You can put 55 hours in getting 100% and be content. I'm mostly not recommending it out of spite because there's so many small issues (not game-breaking) that point to a rushed development. Sometimes the map just doesn't work, only half the fast-travel nodes have icons that grab your eye on the world map, the minimap doesn't show nearby events unless you select one from the map, you can't set favorite characters so unless you want to scroll through a huge character select screen each time you need a certain power you'll just wind up playing the same 6 heroes, icons (I legitimately had three over my character's head all taking the same space, all flashing) and subtitles and such all overlay each other constantly...

Oh, and the challenge screen doesn't even track all the challenges. Maybe about half of them.

For completionists and those looking for things to play while they listen to podcasts or such: great investment! ****Actually nevermind, the races are garbage and the side-quests in the open world are just... ugh. Don't get it**

For people looking for a good game? Eh. It's a tossup. If you're not looking to 100% it and spend a lot of time on it there's not much I can say that's great. Lots of characters but you wind up playing the same handful of useful ones.

Annoyances: special moves slow things down- no one wants to keep seeing 3 second moves to kill enemies when normal moves kill them faster. Some of the level design leaves you lost. YOU UNLOCK THE X8 MULTIPLIER WAY AFTER YOU UNLOCK THE X10 MULTIPLIER WHY. Target lock is seemingly random. You don't actively select which version of a character you have selected, so you gotta wait for the cycle to run through them all- not a big deal except the main one (Iron Man, also others) has different abilities across each version so have fun waiting for no reason.

Maybe the sequel is better.

Campaign is ~5 hours, you can run and gun and upgrade past that but it's much less rewarding. It's not worth full price.

Pros: Honestly, a good atmosphere that gets the setting right. The music fits the run & gun genre, the look and feel are proper 40k. I suppose if you dig the Quake-style shooters you can have a good amount of fun

Cons: The dog is useless except for a distraction, you can get the best guns early on and ignore the rest, the level design can leave you wondering exactly where to go (only a few times), the side missions aren't balanced so you learn to ignore the annoying ones because there's no reason to do them

Is good. The climbing is janky sometimes, and the Frozen Wilds machines are exhausting and not fun to fight but the extra worldbuilding and story make it worth the annoyance. Perfect 5/7

The driving is exhausting but tolerable. The shooting is.. workable. But the original is 20 years old so you should know what you're getting yourself into. It's pretty aight overall

I remember loving this game. It was great back then! Now I just don't really feel like playing through the same mission 6+ times because RNG artillery took out something I was supposed to save before it was physically possible for me to get there. I also don't enjoy small bumps in the road causing passengers to die.

Do you want to warp into the inside of a volcano or your own capital ship and be forced to revert to a save due to shoddy programming? Just play this game! It's not repetitive at all!

There are some issues with the English, the sensitivity is too high, even at the lowest setting you can still hear the music.

But slap a podcast on and get two hours of playtime to 100% it for $3 and it's not bad. It's not great... but it's not bad (for $3).
