tl;dr - risk of rain and stardew valley had a baby

Fun game, totally addicted. Spent over 40 hours on Switch, and now it's finally on Steam.

Play sessions (for a win, that is) take roughly up to 1 hour.

Many of pickup upgrades allow to almost automate fight, farm or both so you are not as overwhelmed as it may seem.

Gameplay loop of exploring biomes makes me think that it's the only "Open World" roguelike in existence (at least I don't remember other ones, if there are any).

Year system allows to pick your comfortable difficulty, while rewarding for completing harder ones.

Usually I don't like "Bullet Hell", but this one is an exception.

But most importanlty - IT HAS CATS FOR AN ENDGAME!

Early Access Review
Immortal Redneck, but you are a huge-ass robot! Definetely recomended. Will play more when new update drops, and/or game releases.

As for now, didn't encounter any bugs, core upgrade system is nice, Guns are fun, but visuals are a little blurry for some reason. Comic book style is dope.

As for features I hope to see are ledge-grab (srsly, add please. doublejump is here, but ledgegrab feels like it belongs in this game). And maybe some areas similar to classic roguelike "rooms" (see Redneck, for example). I don't know why exactly, but right now areas feel mostly like a corridor with one or two adjacent doors, which in my opinion is not dat hot.

In my opinion, this is one of the best shooters available on the market these days.

TL;DR
Play the game, it's awesome

Good sides

1) It's completely free, ALL ingame content is obtainable if you spend time in the game, only the cosmetics are paid platinum (in-game currency), but you can get plat without investing any real money, just trading with other players (for prime parts, rare mods etc)
2) Warframes. Unique war exosuits build for destruction, each with it's own powers. You can always find the one that suits you, and mod it to become even better
3) There're plenty of weaponry to choose from, and even if you think it's not good enough for you, just install mods and make the gun perfect for your playstyle
4) Regular updates. The Devs love their creation and they're always supporting it. I've first played Warframe back in 2013, and didn't like it because the game was too raw for me. Now, in 2017 I returned to it because I wanted to play game a bit similar to De Tiny 2, before it was released on PC, and I was shocked about how many things have changed in Warframe. So, I kinda regret not playing it back then 4 years before. And, also, Warframe is much more exiting than De Tiny 2. And it's free.
5) Community. There are always players who can help you get started. If you have any questions, even the dumbest ones, you can always get help (at least in Russian community, since it's the region where I live and play)
6) Rewards. The game respects the time you put into it, so every second you spent there will be paid off

Bad sides

1) Grind. You will need to invest your time into grinding resourses, at least in the begining. Many high mastery weapons require a lot of parts, but most of them are easily obtained, if you know where to farm them. Personally, I didn't notice much problems with resorses, I just play the game for the gameplay itself, so I don't notice the grind at all. I managed to get a lot of resourses just playing quests and opening nodes for the access to other planets. So, if you're a player like me, grind will not be a problem for you
2) High, well, skillcap, maybe? I don't know the right word for it, but the thing is - game will explain only the basics to you in the beginning, and all other things you'll have to figure out yourself. And there are A LOT of things you'll need to know. But there're always other people who can help you get comfortable with the game. Also, don't forget to check the wiki from time to time, ther're a lot of useful information
3) Bugs. They're not gamebreaking, but, you know. bugs.

Wake up, Tenno!

This is really good game if you need to pass time. It's simple, but hard at the same time. Goal is to GET BIG. You can get to it by attacking other players or just wandering around the map.

So, the downsides, however, is the lack of content. Well, it doesn't need it much, but, uh, I think it needs more maps and some variety in Exoforms (skins only), so you will have even more customization, but no crucial gameplay changes. Or the ability to choose in wich exoform transform and get different abilites, depending on wich path you chose.

Oh, and another thing. It will be AWESOME if this game comes out on Nintendo Switch, because I think it has everything to be the perfect game on the go
