Early Access Review
This game will easily eat up a lot of your time. I love it and hate it at the same time.

I hate running/walking here and there, everything takes so much time, sailing is even more ridiculous waste of time and last thing was that sleeping took away my progress with tars in plains? I know it's EA and cheap, but I have enough. When I want to play darksouls genre I will go to play Dark Souls and don't take me bad, I had beaten Dark Souls I in past, so I know what I'm talking about.

What impressed me in Valheim the most is the great building system with a lot of freedom. And also system how you unlock new recipes by looting or processing something new.

Max Payne 1 and 2 are one of my most favorites games. But this one - I can't get into it. I'm not enjoying Max, I don't care at all about characters which I should protect. I hate flashes in cut scenes, cut scenes themselves and combat too. Guns switching is also wierd. And I don't understand why half of dialogues is in Spain, or Portugese or what language is it? Is this considered to be atmospheric? To be forced to watch cutscenes where I don't understand a half of dialogues? No way.

This is pretty overrated game in my opinion. I tried to take it as some common non Max Payne shooting game, it didn't work for me. Tried to give this game second chance after some break but still no interest here. Completely below average forgettable game.

Long term strategic simple space game, originally released for mobiles. You are playing with other players in PVE and against them in PVP. I saw many strategic mobile games where you didn't face live players, only their offline villages. It's nice to cooperate with real players or fight against them.

I started this game on mobile. Then I found it here on Steam. Connected my account between mobile and Steam. Great job Valve.

If you are looking for constant action, this game is not for you. If you are looking for cute graphics, don't bother with this game. This game is more about planning and thinking than playing :).

Steam controller or Xbox? Steam controller. It's very customizable and I enjoy it's capabilities and if somebody only wants Xbox standard features - yes he can have them on this controller too (but it's a little bit expensive solution to use steam controller only as a Xbox gamepad).

Steam controller or KB+M? It depends. Some gamers enjoy it also for competitive FPS games. I would prefer KB+M for this genre. For other genres I'm trying it and enjoying it. Some times I'm a bit lazy to find optimal solution for menu control and use in menu KB+M instead of controller but it definitely could be programmed for controlling all options of most games.

For playing Steam games on TV number one choice, for playing on PC it depends but personally I enjoy it.

I own some emulated games which suits better with gamepad then KB+M. I own X360 gamepad but as non-console gamer I was not familiar with it and it was difficult for me to understand terminology and fit in. So I decided to give steam controller a shot. Learning curve for this controller is a bit high, yes. I came through some strange behaviors but after some investigation I found the issues. Gyro aiming setup was a headache for me but finally after some tests/mistakes I got it working as expected. I'm still not very good in radials, and some new features but it will come :-). Personally I like to resolve challenges and I enjoy steam controller very much for resolving itself and finally for gaming too.

Game is very enjoyable and fast (no extensive boring grinding of items/progress). I started directly on Veteran mode as I read some complains about that it's too easy on Normal mode.

Had some issue with crashes but thanks to developer's advice I realized that I had factory overclocked card in my PC. I appreciate that also game support is on very good level - even if I didn't write to their support they provided me help here on Steam.
