Early Access Review
TL;DR: I got what I wanted, and I have fun with it.

I've owned this game since before it was on Steam, and it's come a long way. My computer isn't particularly good at all (integrated 8650g, AMD A10-5757M), and the game doesn't run well at all. The UI is as laggy as hell, and even on the minimum settings (disabled vehicle-vehicle colisions as well), when any of the more detailed maps that come with the game, the framerate is trash and dips frequently. So then, why have I put over 350 hours into this game? Of course, when you inevitably crash, it's pretty amusing... at least for the first 5 times. But i stayed because I really really really like just driving around in this game. I use a Xbox One controller, and I enjoy this experience more than the driving on FH3, or anything, really. After properly setting up the controls and upping the FOV a bit, clearing corners and taking the lines becomes very satisfying, even if you're in the beater Covet with nothing added.

But, the driving model isn't fully realized yet. I think most of the elements are down, and the tire model feels solid and appears to produce realistic numbers based on the in-game telemetry, but it's missing tire thermals at the moment, which might be the cause of the handling peculiarities. Also, they added speed sensitive steering, which makes the cars control a lot nicer, when playing on a controller.

The updates are quite good, in my opinion. They come out with some nice fixes, features, and/or new content each time. The updates do supposedly break mods, but I don't use enough of them to have experienced this.

Right now the content is quite limited, but it's slowly getting there, and through the updates, the optimization is slowly getting better.

I would've probably left a bad review if this game was in it's final state. But right now, with things still being added, I think it's worth a shot.

Also, get this game on sale, or go to the humble bundle listing on their website. It usually goes on sale for $20, and the humble bundle listing is always $20 but I don't know if you can refund that or not (it gives you a key from my experience, so probably not.)

Of course, you may not like it at the momment, and I have nothing against that.
