Grand Theft Auto IV has arguably the best narrative out of every game in the series. However, unfortunately, the PC port is highly unstable. Even after downgrading the game, installing community bugfix patches and using the "DXVK" DirectX-to-Vulkan wrapper, I still cannot bring myself to complete a single playthrough because of persisting technical issues that ruin the experience.

It's really good and the formula is vastly improved over Grand Theft Auto Online, though unfortunately Rockstar pulled the plug early leaving much desired in terms of content and quality-of-life improvements. Probably wait for it to go on sale or just buy Read Dead Redemption 2.
