A really good remake of a timeless classic.

Updated review for 2024: Game is still stuttering like crazy on Koboh. Randomly crashed twice. There is no excuse for just abandoning the game in the state it is in.

The game, underneath all the problems, seems to be a good one. OK Story and amazing looking world. Fun gameplay and challenging combat..

Bloomberg put out an article praising the game for record development time... Yea, not hard to see why it was so fast to develop when they released a completely unfinished product.

Cutest little "Souls-like" i ever did play. Though the game is more Zelda-esque than it is "Souls-like"

Short and sweet, Death's door offers precise and satisfying although a bit bare-bones combat and an interesting story set in an intriguing world. The bosses all feel unique and well written and the post-game content is very good.
A little on the easier side for "Souls-like" games but it offers a neat challenge if you go for the "Umbrella run". It is one of very few games i have ever binge-played all the way through in one sitting.

8/10 < The only negatives of this game is how short it is and how bare-bones the combat is.

Amazing combat, great dialogue with a witty take on Greek mythology. Each weapon offers a unique way to play the game. All the upgrades you can find and different combinations of "boons" of the gods make the gameplay feel fresh and exciting every time you try to escape the underworld. Definitely a game to check out if you like quick and precise combat. Or if you're just a sucker for good voice acting (this game nails every single character).

PS. if you are one for the story, and the story alone (which in this game is GREAT) there is an option to go "god mode" which lets you play through the game without much difficulty.

Cool combat, cool story, cool gameplay. When's the sequel?
