The game is decent but it is frustrating. You have to add hours to the game to learn monster patterns and then after a few times you can finally defeat a boss after you learn its pattern. I almost finished the game it says 90% on my progress but it got so tedious that it is not fun any more. The tower is just too much for me and I decided not to waste any more time on this game.
Puzzles are also another thing. There is no save state in those puzzles. Once you are fed up with those you have to repeat EVERYTHING again.
The game was fun at first, but it got tedious too fast and not fun any more.
EDIT: Recent balancing of the difficulty did nothing for me, as I do not see any changes there.

Most boring one of the series. Puzzles are not hard at all, and story is a total mess. It completely forgets how unique the clockwork and youkls were, and now jus about everyone knows about them somehow. It completely ruined the atmosphere from 1st and 2nd game.

No mouse control is a BIG turnoff for a PC game. Especially I expected it to be like Hunt for the Red Baron game I think this is based on. But leaving out mouse controls is a big turnoff for me. I'm still considering returning this game.

Game regulary crashes when playing. I am unable to find the reason it just seems like a timed crash. I am unable to play the game for any reasonable time, and has become quite frustrating. I do not recommend it.

I love homeworld franchise, and first game especialy, but I cannot in good will reccomend this remastered version, because it is not the same game any more. The new graphics are stunning, but the originals are more polished and with less bugs overall. For example on the third mission, and objective is to capture one of three assault frigates, but you try to capture all three. In the original you would end up with two new frigates, but in the remastered, these just dissappared. There are a lot of gameplay mechanics that bother me in the remake so here they are:

Cons:
- formations no longer work quite as before, strike groups are changed in the smaller parts, sphere formation behaves weird, and there is no longer parade formation ?
- strike groups sometimes need to be redefined at the start of the level
- i can only build 14 salvage corvettes? in the original the number is 40 -why is the gameplay changed?
- fighter fuel is no longer a thing
- there are more resources in the game, therefore it is easier to play, although the game was not very hard in the begining

Pros:
- better graphics

The build and research UI looks more like homeworld 2, and I like the original one better but that is just a preference thing. For me I am going to play the original. The graphics are not that great, but the polished gameplay of the original is much better.

I loved this game. From puzzles, to characters, to story.
If you love point and click and great stories this is a must have.

Only enjoyable levels in this game are with old sonic- the 2d ones. The 3D levels are really frustrating, weird camera movements, and I have been stuck to so many unescapable places that it became really frustrating, and I gave up on the game. Try another sonic game, this one is not worth your nerves.

This is not really an adventure game. Consider it more like a story driven game. There are no puzzles in the game for it to be called an adventure game. Just a story.
It advertizes as a game that adapts to your choises, but in five episodes there are only two that really change the game.
So, if you are a fan of Batman storyies, or just want to be involved for the story go for it. Otherwise this game won't appeal to you.
