Whenever I say a game is great, I'm usually talking about my personal preferences. A game is enjoyable for ME, and appeals to what I like. This game, while still appealing to what I like, is OBJECTIVELY a great game. I emphasize this point because, in all honesty, this game is OBJECTIVELY maybe the best game I've ever played. This game is a flawless gem of quality that I will likely think about for many years to come.

The gameplay is already unique, being a roguelite-esq house builder, but managing to fill it with so many amazing puzzles and mysteries is astounding. A great variety too, brainteasers to mind-melters in every way shape and form. This game also allows a great degree of player freedom, not giving away answers but also not punishing you for not wanting to crack the hardest mysteries. But why wouldn't you? No stone can be left unturned because so much care and attention has been put into every stone.

Another masterclass, the games atmosphere and art. The care put into the gameplay is equally as evident in the design of the game. The WHOLE game. Not just the rooms, not just the nature, not just the menus or letters. ALL of it. This game is dripping with a style that couldn't be pulled off any better and fully immerses you into it's world. The soundtrack by Trigg & Gusset accompanies this to bathe you in the essence of the game, losing yourself completely in the walls of the manor.

If you need me to state a flaw of any kind so I don't sound one-sided, I guess you could say that it can be frustrating ending a run due to a string of bad room spawns. But even then, this feels so minor since I often discover new things and figure puzzles out AFTER running out of doors and looking over old rooms.

This game will definitely not appeal to everyone. The game makes this evident with a note at the start telling you that you might want a journal to write notes in, an idea that would turn many away from trying this game. Despite this, the game decides to fully embrace what it is, and it does that perfectly. This game is easily a 10/10, an immaculately crafted puzzle box that I hope is seen for the masterpiece it is.

Personally I find this game to be the best Resident Evil game ever made. As a huge fan of the franchise, everything I love from the series is present in this game. The methodical search through a slowly opening map, the tight grip on resources with careful rationing, and the outrageous scenarios taken completely seriously. It has the horror from 7, the action from 4, and even a little of the over-the-top craziness from 6. This game is not just a masterfully crafted survival horror, it's the perfect next entry to the Resident Evil series!

I have been absolutely addicted to this game, and for good reason. Dishonored is one of the best game for someone looking for a "play your way" type game. There's so many options for every single playstyle, creating a unique experience for all. Not to mention, the game is bursting at the seams with extra story and information. Books, notes, audiographs, dialogue, and supernatural looks into people's life, makes everyone feel like an actual person. Mix all that with lasting choices and different endings, and you have an game definitely worth getting. I could ramble on about the powers, gear, and multitude of optional objectives, but I'd like to avoid obsessive rambling. To put it in concluding words: "Shall we gather for whiskey and cigars tonight?" "Of course"

Some say it's just going around and collecting treasure, but there IS an end. I woud rate this 9/10 for the low price, the ending that makes you want to get it, and the cool powerups that I'm not going to tell you because YOU NEED TO PLAY THE GAME!!
(Also a hint, explore before going into the end portal. I warned you)
