1) Caller
2) Follower
3) Follower
4) Follower
Notes: The Caller is usually the most experienced L4D2 player on the team, has a clean sounding mic, gets along with everyone and is good at pointing out strengths and weaknesses in nice, tactful manner to help the followers improve their performance.
The Caller's primary duties are:
1) Choosing locations to attack,
2) Choosing the sequences of which infected attacks first etc.
3) CLEARLY Understanding the situation of the game and how it is playing out.
Caller instructs Followers to attack when: Huge mobs of commons assault the survivors, Survivor makes a fatal mistake or is incapped, Tanks spawns, Witch spawns, Big Event Begins.
The Caller identifies enemy strengths and weaknesses. If enemy survivors are progressing WAAAYYY too fast, emphasize hitting them agressively at hard choke points, your team must slow them down at all costs.
Commons are the infected team's most valuable resource. Always take advantage of that.
Going against professional or well-established Survivors: Sometimes it is not always good to attack at obvious choke points. If a survivor team is shutting you down often, you must start rusing or tricking them. Do this by attacking slightly BEFORE or AFTER Obvious choke points and 90% of them time, you will catch them off guard becuase they're trained to believe that Infected WILL in fact, attempt something at the upcoming choke point.
Tanks: Always attempt to pass the tank off to someone who knows what they're doing, has good ping, great at tank hitables, fast at juking molotov tosses.
