JULY 1.04 UPDATE REVIEW.

PROS
The game is really unique in it's gameplay. I haven't played anything like this and the gameplay always keeps me coming back even before the 1.04 update which drastically improved the game.

There are a lot of reasons to put a lot of hours into the game. You have a level and a rank. As you earn bloodpoints during matches you can spend them on items and add ons for your items in between matches. You also have a rank. It takes 10,500 blood points to earn a "pip". Earn x amount of pips and you gain a rank. You start at rank 20 and you work your way down to rank one.

One of the biggest problems the game had before the 1.04 update was that it was really hard to get a pip as a survivor without getting to the exit. This caused many survivors to resort to infinite juking which is a spot on the map with 2 or more windows nearby that you can vault through. Since i've last played they have made it drastically easier to get a pip as a survivor. They also have removed the majority of the infinite juke spots which is good for people who prefer to play as the killer.

Because of those two adjustments that came with the 1.04 update hook camping is almost non-existant I've played about 5 hours of games since the 1.04 update and I have only encountered one hook camper.

They have added a survive with friends mode which lets you and your friends play public matches together.

Also cosmetics so you can customize your survivor. There aren't many at the moment, but more are going to be added in the future. Presumably for free because the 1.04 update included a new outfit for each survivor for free.

CONS

As much as I love this game there are a few cons that should be mentioned.

Although it is easier to level up as a survivor it's still very annoying when the killer finds you first and then camps you. Luckily that doesn't occur as often and other survivors can save you. If this happens multiple games in a row it can cause some rage.

The rank system could do better by matching similar ranks together more. You'll occasionally run into high rank killers as a low rank survivor. That being said your level (not rank) does not determine skill I have won against level 30+ killers as a level 10 survivor before.

You have to reinvite friends you are playing survive with friends with after every match.

This is or more like an early access game than a final release.
