Got the game on Sale for like $8 , figured why not I'm in the mood to try a submarine game. The mechanics (mainly intercepting an enemy ship and targeting them with torpedoes) took some time to learn.
After it wasn't long for me to target 2-3 ships simultaneously or pulling maneuvers like reversing engines full blast to get behind a enemy tailing me and whacking them point blank with a torpedo to get that excitement.

There are some things I want to see improved on in the game like library of the upgrades for the sub and what they do after I researched them and the X speed increase needs updating.

I am a huge Bethesda fan, I have multiple hundreds of hours on my of their games. Just like every reviewer here. I love everything scifi also.
I want to love this game as much as I loved Fallout or TES games. In some aspects the game us fine. But I can't recommend this game just like many of there other reviewers can't recommend Starfield is because it lacks that Bethesda level of quailty. I'm not talking about bugs and such. But the exploring and always finding some random amazing content.
I understand full well it's space, it's huge and boring.
They should correct a few things like making more "bad" aligned team mates, making the main missions with puzzles or you have to fight a bad ass npc.
I say this game misses the mark just enough to earn the hate. Its because we love Bethesda. Who knows maybe they can updated it like Cyberpunk or No Man Sky to take it over the edge to greatness.
Listen to us fans and don't try to convince us your game is great.

So far I love this game. One of the better early release games I played. I can't wait to see the finished product.
Your mining ship parts to pay off your evil mining company overlord. Tom Nook in space.
Maybe Throw in a living quarters so that we throw away more money into useless pretty trinkets and be in debt for ever! just like in the real world.

I came here to write a review because I read that this game has been recenlty recieved negative reviews because the are women generals or something ( and I see as I write this that reviews have been cleared).

Firstly I hace to say I love all the Total wars games, they are amazing and get me in my wheelhouse, I just love the mechanics of the Total wars games. The 1st Rome Total war blew my brain when I first played it way back in the day. All the games have been a range of good to excellent and fun. I personally Love Fall of the Samurai expansion for Shougun 2.

Now for the negative reviews babies out there specifically for the women leaders....GET A LIFE! this is a video game, not a history lesson. it's suppose the stretch the limits of our imagination in a histrical setting. Part of the fun is being no body civ and taking over, making and alternate history. by that Logic then Why not have women also, same concept. PLUS I want more people playing total war, like the ~50% women that game, If women leaders get women to play TW games the CA and Sega will have more money to make more TW games. I'm going to go play as a women leader right now. Grow UP and support women, they are the best, our mothers, lovers, wives, and daugthers...wtf guys!

Works flawlessly on my rig.

I Paid $5 on a steam sale. Played it through once (lots of pausing for fatherly duties) and enjoyed Ryse very much. I love period time games, mostly Rome times is one of my favorites. I recommend this game to people that like Roman Empire stuff, its entertaining.

The people saying that they beat the game in 4 hrs are not correct, they must skip all the cut scenes.

If you like Rome based games, don't mind quick time combat, like reasonably short cut scenes, and like beautiful graphics I recommend this game.

If you hate skip cut scenes, don't care about ambiance, and hate QTC, I don't Recommend.

I'm a fan of Space sims, Sid Meier's Pirates!, and Star Trek Online (mainly because of the Space combat and every ten levels unlocked a new ship) I had to get this game, and it's amazing.

Pros
-Missions are reasonable lengths
-captial ship combat is fun
-you can customize your weapon sets
-Ramming specific deflector shields

Cons
-story is very cliche for these type of games (a relative leaves you something and you have to find them and build up, blah)
-might feel repetitive (I'm only in my second sector but, mine, defend, escort, kill, trade and treasure hunt cliche for space games)

I've played a little under 35 hours of this game and gave this game a fair try. i agree with all of the negative reviews. at a certain point you need to upgrade your units...250xp to unlock next tier but in order to do that you need to upgrade your barraks 1500 coin 1500 (food, wood, or stone which ever) BUT in order to do that you need to upgrade your castle 1500 coin 1500 stone BUT in order to do that you need to connect your castle to 2 othe castles, etc etc.

It is a fun game, but eventually the mechanics beat you into submission and bordem.
Try it, dont BUY it (the in game gold pay to win stuff)
or DON'T play it and you won't miss much.

It's a Fun game, but this should have expansion atleast to Rome 2. I'd wait for a sale unless your watching Marco Polo and can't wait to play a Horde based Horse army like i was when i bought it. CA should rethink their marketing and how they release games... the hardcore fan base is slowly getting very annoyed with this franchise. Total War is very close to becoming the next Madden, COD, and Assassins Creed for me...
i.e. I don't even read reviews to those games anymore I refuse to give those franchises another cent.
Don't dissappoint!
