If you need to burn a few hours and have fun doing it, then this game is perfect for you. While the base game only has the basic game content, you can still spend hours building houses, making your Sims successful in life or hey, even killing them if that's what you're into. Each expansion adds hours of awesome stuff to lose yourself in, whether it be tons of new jobs with Ambitions or new types of characters with Supernatural, each one adds it's own little something.

While the game is incredibly addicting, it also has lots of bugs. Some bugs have been around since the start, like the game crashing (happens mostly when you haven't saved for several hours and you just finished building your dream home), others only turn up when you start installing expansions or custom content, like the strechy babies and the hand-bowl (not actually sure where this comes from).

So, yes, I recommend the game, but just be prepared for glitches, crashes and a slight addiction to new content.

"I'v Been brainwashed by EA" Will... Purchase...All...Games....From...EA.... Anyhow, I actually like games EA publish/make. SPORE, The Sims 3, NFS franchise, Burnouit Paradise, etc etc. Origin also isn't as bad as most people say it. And those people who hate on EA know little knowledge on how to fix a simple problem.

Part Six & Final

So, in conclusion, yes, each expansion just adds more stuff, but that's what expansions are. The point is that it's still The Sims, it doesn't change a whole lot, it adds more and honestly, it makes the game better with each expansion (excluding stuff packs).

TL;DR: Oh, shut up you lazy bum, I spent an hour writing that, the least you could do is skim it.

P.S. If Banana does read this, I'd recommend he starts out with Seasons and then Pets.

P.P.S. A 1000 character limit isn't nearly enough Steam.

Part Five

Though, as a sidenote, I suppose it's a very good thing that all the expansions aren't included in the base game to begin with, imagine being new to the whole game and starting a new world, having zombies try to attack you while horses are running around and a werewolf is howling obnoxiously next to you and scratching up all the furniture in the library, the Goths have turned into vampires and there's a bunch of children playing around in Katy Perry's candy wonder land reenacting hansel and gretel (haven't actually tried this stuff pack but I assume that's what it involves) and you're just sitting there like "What the hell, what're all these icons? This is chaos, I mean, why the heck did I ever buy this game?".

Part Four

I have several other expansions as well, I love seasons unless I'm trying to garden, supernatural is amazing and brings so much to the game, High end loft is eh, I honestly just got it for the electric guitar and fish display case thing, I don't really recommend stuff packs since you can get almost identical things online for free (hint hint), and I recently got generations and it's nice, it's adds a little something that also should've been in the base game from the beginning as well, you also get a desire wish thing worth 2000 to teach teens to drive so that's nice.
