at least i got it for free. with TES or fallout, you can always expect to find something new and exciting as you explore. with starfield because everything is procedurally generated for the most part, there's no point in exploring. there's nothing truly unique or fun to find. just the same stuff slightly rearranged. what little story i did did not draw me in at all and i have no desire to play again

Decent mod, short in length. Chapter 5 especially has a great atmosphere leaning into horror.

Man. I just watched the killing floor 3 announcement and all I could feel was disappointed. My feelings for killing floor 2 are complicated, because at it's core it is such a fun game. I played tons of killing floor 1 and 2 with friends. But at this point I don't think I could ever recommend 2 to anyone, and I am apprehensive about the new game. 2 is SO MUCH FUN but it has so many issues. Paywalling weapons and the inclusion of microtransactions/lootboxes just killed it for me. Yes these have been in the game since early access pretty much, but it just kept getting worse.. and worse... and while the market is starting to slowly move away from this model, I fear killing floor 3 is going to be more of the same. I almost hate to play this game anymore because of the lootboxes and paid dlc weapons. The CEO (to no fault of the tripwire team) also has some nasty opinions that turned me off from the game. I hate that one of my favorite games has turned into a sore subject any time i think about playing it again. I want killing floor 3 to be good but I'm so tired of how 2 is.

its really just... not fun... the game has strange hitboxes where even though i can see i definitely hit the target, it's still considered a miss. combined with frustrating timers on the missions where whatever your target is may not even appear for several minutes. the game is very short and feels like the difficulty is artificial and frustrating in an attempt to prolong the play time.

The problem with the game is that after unlocking arcades, you hit a wall. One that takes a long time to get around, and is not fun. From this point forward, getting upgrades is incredibly slow. The only multiplier you get this tier is by buying more arcade machines for profit, at 10 cents per machine. There is no way to increase this 10 cents aside from paying real money to upgrade it. I was hoping maybe I could stick it out and just suffer through to have enough favors to increase the multiplier, but the hang up from the 10 cents per arcade machine is so painfully slow it isn't worth it, after leaving the game open for many, many hours of idling I don't feel like I am any closer to the next tier. the grind is absolutely atrocious and is not fun. My desire to uninstall this game and never see it again has far overpowered my desire to try to get more achievements. The core gameplay loop also never changes past the first page of upgrades. You add auto paddles, side blockers, 2 multiplier zones, and that's it. the board does not change any further for the rest of the game. It's fine for if you want a mindless idle game to play for a couple hours and then never touch again, but it is absolutely not worth your time to try to actually "complete" this.

this was such a simple and relaxing game to enjoy while im stuck in bed sick. i played the whole game on steam deck and the only issue i encountered was the screen region was a little small, making it easy to accidentally press the back button. this game has the right amount of challenge without feeling too easy or difficult and is nice to play in short intervals or when needing to relax. im excited to try out the next games in the series

It's fine for what it is. The base game is free and its a simple color by number game. I can't recommend it though because several achievements are broken, there is no cloud saves so I can't switch between my PC and steam deck to play it, the coloring speed is slow and was made more with a controller in mind than a mouse, and there are a few duplicate pictures that I've noticed.

If you're just looking for a fun color game then this fits the bill, but be wary if you're achievement hunting. The slow coloring isn't even that big of an issue for me. I just wish all the achievements worked and it had cloud saves.

Early Access Review
The game is meh at best. I wouldn't call this a hidden object game, the items you have to find are in plain sight and not hidden at all. The game is also extremely short, about 5-8 minutes at best. I understand the game is early access but for $8.99 it's not worth the price at all at this point. I'd be interested to see it further along in development for sure but right now I can't justify enjoying the game or the price tag as it is right now.

There are also technical issues with the game. At first I thought it was completely unplayable because the game shoved all of my windows over to my right screen for some reason? (I have a 2-monitor setup) Then I couldn't find the actual game window because it had actually opened off screen. The game also ends on a completely black screen, I don't know if that's the intentional ending or not for early access but I thought the game had crashed. The game also does not save any progress if you exit out and reopen it.

Early Access Review
I wish I could give a neutral response instead of just a yes/no. The thing is I really do like this game. It's satisfying and it's easy to play with something like a video going in the background.

The problem is I can only stand to play this game for maybe 20-30 minutes before I start getting motion sick. The reticle disappears as soon as you start using the powerwasher, and that means despite having an option for a reticle to begin with, you almost never see it.

I really do want to play this game more and enjoy it, but I'm just gonna have to shelf it for now because it makes me physically ill to play the game which is a shame.

--------
EDIT

I'm changing my rating thanks to feedback since I was a bit misguided here. I've dumped too much time into this game at this point despite how it physically makes me feel to give it a negative review at this point, it's just too darn addicting. I'm excited to see what else gets added to the game as it comes out of early access
