I don't play RE games because of that gay ass door mechanic. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate sitting through that cutscene for EVERY DOOR. There should be a setting to turn it off.

To preface this, I have played Inquisiton for over 2000 hours on the PS4.

When I heard it was coming to Steam, I eagerly purchased, and I had planned to purchase DA2 as well despite already owning it on Origin, because Origin is a hellscape which is full of cpu eating ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and crashes galore. I am severely dissapointed to know this is just a Steam port of Origins, basically. I want to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ die.

Inquisition itself is a beautiful game. Every aspect is nearly perfected. There are bugs and glitches of course, as this is a MASSIVE open world game, but at the end of the day, it doesn't matter. The only real issue I had was the lack of focus on romance. They can play a decent sized role, but I feel like if they added more content for the romances - particularly with the Blackwall romance - I would be a lot happier. (But not everyone plays the romances - suprisingly, a small amount of people.) Also, I feel like Anders should have played a bigger role. He was the one that caused this all in the first place, after all. Whether or not you kill him in DA2, I believe he should still play a role here - even as just a legend among the mage recruits, a story or icon if resistance and revolution, but the only time he is mentioned is with Hawke dialoge if you romanced him. Truly such a disappointing waste of such an amazing character.

The aesthetics of this game are beautiful. It gives a nearly accurate vision of what it would be like on a ship in the 17th cent. However, it is certianly an alpha game, and it is best enjoyed with friends, better under the influence. Sea of Thieves did it better, but this game is still idle fun now and then.

Pros:
Beautiful graphics and high detailed scenery. As well, beautiful characters - my favorite is the hair, which is, unlike most games, well made.
Wonderful story. Highly interesting and captivating.
Fun and easy to learn combat mechanics.
Historical accuracy where it counts.
Gay pirates.

Cons:
Lip scyncing
Lack of player dialog choice (I expected more of a Dragon Age type of character creation and in game choice system, and I was left rather disappointed.)
Lack of NPC dialogue

Overall, so far with my experience in this game I absolutely love it. It has it's issues, but it's clear to me it was made with true passion and talent. I only wish that it had had more time in devolopment or given a bigger budget, or both, if that was the problem. It has real potential thats somewhat squandered, but it does not ruin the experience.

A short and scary as ♥♥♥♥ game that doesn't rely on jumpscares. Had me shaking.

In about ten minutes of playing this game, I'm already sobbing like an idiot at my desk. Please, please play this. :(
