I'm only half way through the game at the time of this review. Perfect survival horror for someone who's looking for a folk horror, atmospheric, story driven, open world game. There's a steep learning curve with the combat system and inventory management but the good thing is, you can take the game as slow as you want. You will not expend resources by waiting around to figure things out because food and water isn't something you have to keep track of. Venture out during the day but always make it back to your hideout before night fall to barricade your windows and set traps, wait in the corner of your hideout next to your little light sources for the time to pass as you pray that the savages roaming around your house don't discover you in your hideout. There are lots and lots of different night events to keep you constantly on the edge of your seat. As you explore the world, plot points will push you forward as you are forced to come to terms with the choices you make and people you hurt. choosing sides, trying to figure out who the real bad guy is. Quite challenging, not for the faint hearted. If your anything like me you'll die a lot before for getting a grasp of the games mechanics. Not very ragey because a small amount of progress means a lot and you feel fulfilled just for putting up a fight. The game isn't grindy or repetitive at all because the only way to progress is by discovering new locations, checking your journal and venturing further to complete the objective. Play on normal mode if you think that you'll die a lot. Highly recommend playing this game
