Really now, you need a reason? It is one of the most played games which rakes in millions of dollars per year. The stats speak for themselves. Regardless, here are some:

1. Free to play content is awesome. None of the play some more to get more heroes. All of them are unlocked,

2. Strategy is prevalent. If you are a RTS fan (Age of Empires type) like me then you will definitely love it.

3. Steep learning curve. After all who doesn't love a good challenge?

4. Couriers and Skins ;3

5. The HUDs ^_^

6. The Desert Music Pack

7. Custom Games, especially Overthrow.

8. The joy of finding good teammate(s) within a myriad of toxicity and then adding them as friends and winning/losing a bunch of games.

9. Ability of the game to keep things interesting regardless of the fact that the game mechanics and maps remain the same every single time.

10. The ingame items and combinations.

11. Ganks

12. Ultras and rampages. The crushing feeling of missing a rampage.
