PoE is what the sequel to Diablo 2 could have been and should have been. It has that old-school learning curve that hits like a cliff, but if you manage to climb over it, it rewards you with a plateau of sandbox-like possibilities for creativity. No other game even comes close to the loot-crafting depth this game provides. If your someone who craves complexity and mechanical depth, then this game is perfect for you. It's one I can come back to again and again whenever I have a monster-smashing-loot-hoarding itch to scratch. So much content has been amassed over the years that I’ve thought "what could they possibly think of next?" only for them to release yet another cool update that pulls me back in.
