Rebought this for myself after being reminded of it. Still, after nearly 10 years, the best mixture of the Tower Defence and FPS genres. Beautifully crafted, and full of hours of fun. Co-op mode is on par with Coffee Stain's Deep Rock Galactic, so also a great game for someone looking for a good PvE party shooter.

Extremely challenging game, but no less fun for it. Deep strategy and huge range of gameplay. Always exciting, and always room to improve (e.g: 34 hours in the game and I have still never beaten a 100% difficulty survival game). Lack of a tutorial is frustrating, but plenty of online resources for those so inclined.

Edit: Now have 100 hours and just beat my first 100% game :)

If you like Tower Defense games, you should 100% play this game. If you don't, you should still play this game. With its fun and alluring art style, rogue-like gameplay, and casual game design, this is a game that you can always come back to even after 7 years since its initial release. Holding out for the Steam release of No. 6.

A beautifully atmospheric game, perfectly balancing themes of the natural and the supernatural. Addressing issues that affect many teenagers and young adults, it's a truly moving story that leaves the player watering at the mouth for the next episode.

It would have been a good game, if it ever worked, but the bugs and constant crashing just make it terrible.

TF2 has been one of my favourite games for almost half of my life. It is an icon of the genre and has a community that surpasses that of pretty much any other online community, gaming or otherwise.

Sadly, if you were to ask me if I recommend playing it in 2024, I can't honestly say that I would. Lack of support from Valve has led it to be an unplayable mess riddled with bots, and it pains me to say it but its best days are far far gone.

If (and that's a big if) Valve do decide to fix all of the issues that plague their biggest cash cow other than the Steam platform as a whole then I might be able to recommend it in good conscience, but that day is not today.

Fix TF2, Valve.
