Basically a Philippine-based Orange + Kimi No Na Wa

Picked this up right away at full price! feeling proud of myself, and I'm always eager to support local game devs! :>

As for my review... I really enjoyed the game's storytelling! the twists and turns in the story kept me hooked and emotional. has good blend of mystery, slice of filipino lives, drama, and supernatural elements - very fresh and familiar at the same time. cultural details are spot-on! am also impressed by the attention to detail in the visuals, especially how emotions were animated through facial expressions and body language.

On the downside, some mini-games had (kind of unreasonably) confusing mechanics and lacked clear instructions. as an achievement grinder, it was frustrating for me. i think it wouldve been helpful if there was a short tutorial for these parts. another feature I'd suggest would be an auto-play feature for the dialogues. sometimes i wanted to just read thru the txt dialogues and eat something at the same time as if im watching a series, instead of just manually advancing through the text. Regardless,, these issues didnt rlly impact the way i enjoyed the game.

Overall, this game made me realize (and remember) many things. The story made me appreciate my current friendships more and understand the value of being OPEN and HONEST with those close to me. The concept of alternate timelines highlighted how our choices impact our lives and how every path comes with its own set of hardships. The narrative emphasized that perfection is elusive and that everyone struggles in their own way. Seeing the struggles of each character made me reflect on my own life and while we might wish for different outcomes, we must face our own issues and stay grounded. cuz as long as we're still alive, "the world hasn't ended yet."

The most highlighted lesson from this game, "A lot of things would be a lot easier if you just talk." - Cathy

Very grateful to have had this opportunity to play. I highly recommend it to everyone! Here's to hoping for more rich storytelling games coming from Polychroma! Until then :)
