Cute little game that let's you make some art every day using different objects (nuts, types of flowers, leaves, rocks, etc.). The idol pictures are very beautiful, and the atmosphere of the game is pleasant and cozy. It's free, so what do you have to lose?

Mahjong gameplay is fairly standard and works well. The game makes use of a quest-system that encourages you to play certain mahjong levels and complete other various tasks, which made the game more engaging for me, but also detracted from the relaxing puzzle aspect of the game. The game operates on an energy system, where you need energy to start a new puzzle, and you have to wait for energy to either recharge (can take a while at lower levels) or pay money to buy items that will give you energy; this was the biggest issue in the game for me, because, not wanting to spend actual dollars on in-game items, I had to essentially wait half a day before I could play the game again.

tl;dr: fun mahjong title with a quest-like system, but pay-to-play aspects made it less relaxing and kept me from playing at times

I played this game back when it first came out and all we had was the family desktop. However many years later it's been, this game is still just as perfect and runs fantastically on my relatively good PC.

There are certain games out there that are just begging for you to push the boundaries of the game mechanics to see what's truly possible or not. In Skyrim and many other games, the questions were always 'can I get to the top of this mountain without cheating?' and in Dishonored, you have that same age-old question, but you also have 'how can I get this guard to kill himself with his own gun?' or 'what happens if I plant a springrazor (a motion-sensing plantable explosive) on a rat?'. Dishonored is a game full of possibilities-- you can play as a bumbling pyromaniac, a precise supernatural assassin, a disgraced bodyguard seeking justice (revenge?), or some fun combination of the three.

The game is set in Dunwall, the capital city of a small island empire, where corruption is omnipresent and everything points towards a darkening industrial landscape influenced by that corruption-- large cannisters of Dunwall's main energy source, whale oil, are frequently encountered and can be blown up to provide a distraction or incapacitate nearby guards, and the whale carcasses from which the oil is harvested can be seen in the distance; zombie-like creatures called Weepers harbor a plague brought over by rats from the mysterious continent of Pandyssia that explorers are set on colonizing and exploiting; and graffiti on every street corner does nothing to disguise the injustices of the current administration and the deterioration of its citizens ("Send Us Food Not Bullets" and " Long Live the Empress She was a Wench" can be seen from the streets). There are many small details in the dark landscape of Dunwall that make the world feel both real and like it's ready to collapse around you at any moment if you progress too far in the game.

Overall, Dishonored is a well-constructed game with simple controls that inspire endless possibility and a beautifully constructed world that incites a desire to dig deeper into the corruption of Dunwall.

I loved Dishonored and was very excited for Dishonored 2, but the entire game just feels clunky and a chore to play. Additionally, I was disappointed in the choice for the new voice actor for the Outsider. Not recommended.

EDIT: after multiple game updates and tinkering with settings on my end, this game has not only become playable for me, but exceeding enjoyable. I still cringe a little whenever the Outsider speaks and it's not the voice I came to know and love from Dishonored, but the much smoother frame-rate and less laggy movement to the game now, as opposed to a year or so ago when I first reviewed Dishonored 2, has allowed me to reclaim what I really loved about Dishonored. The freedom of choice in this game and the visible impact of those choices makes this a game that can be played over and over to try for different results. This game gives you the ability to be creative in how you go about a mission, where you can just as easily soar unnoticed across the rooftops as you can chain-possessing hostile npcs, tricking them into killing each other for you.

The bottom line is that this is a great game, but only if you're able to play it. If you don't have the patience to stumble through graphics and video settings, like I ended up having to do, to make this game playable, then it obviously will either be a chore to play or something you never play. If you have a fantastic computer/console/whatnot, then maybe it won't be an issue for you at all. Give this game a chance if you really enjoyed Dishonored, like I did.
