Exceptionally enjoyable co-op class-based shooter game. Dig the terrain, collect resources, fight alien bugs and other enemies in various procedurally-generated missions.

It has a certain playfulness to the design that is very refreshing to see. It seems that there is a narrow focus on making things, above all, Fun. Even when it means declining to sand off all the rough edges. Which is wonderful. (Like, who needs realistic physics? The game's loose and very janky approximation only makes the game more ridiculous and fun.)

And DRG is not afflicted with any of the FOMO or microtransaction nonsense that infects quite a lot of co-op experiences these days. Its "seasons" are not like those of live-service games, in that they add new content and new cosmetics but do not take away old ones, and they are all included with the base cost of the game.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend it as a solo experience, though it can be played that way, but I very highly recommend DRG for anyone looking to play with friends.

Rock & Stone!
