Having invested a substantial 882 hours into Dead by Daylight, it's high time I revisit and update my review to reflect the wealth of experience gained.

Dead by Daylight remains a stellar horror game, continuing to provide an immersive and entertaining experience. The core concept of four survivors evading a relentless killer persists, offering a consistently thrilling gameplay dynamic. The extensive playtime has only deepened my appreciation for the game's nuances.

One of the standout features is the extensive variety offered by both survivors and killers. The multitude of perks available for each, coupled with distinct abilities, adds layers of strategy and complexity to each match. The randomized maps, a feature I highlighted in my initial review, continue to impress by ensuring that no two encounters play out the same way, even on familiar terrain, because there are different layouts to almost all of the maps as well. That means that even if you play the same map, you won't be getting the exact same one!

Remarkably, with 882 hours under my belt, Dead by Daylight has maintained its stability and polish. The absence of significant issues over such an extensive period reinforces the game's overall quality and durability. Another aspect that I love, is the continual introduction of licensed killers and survivors. The inclusion of iconic characters like Wesker, Nemesis, and Michael Myers has significantly enriched the gameplay experience, creating a captivating blend of horror fandom and intense multiplayer action.

The infusion of these recognizable faces into the game not only pays homage to beloved franchises but also introduces unique abilities and playstyles that diversify the overall Dead by Daylight experience. Each licensed killer and survivor brings their own set of perks and characteristics, seamlessly integrating their distinct personalities into the game's evolving narrative.

Wesker, known for his sinister presence in the Resident Evil series, Nemesis, the relentless pursuer from the same franchise, and the infamous Michael Myers from Halloween all contribute to the varied and thrilling encounters players can experience. The familiarity with these characters adds an extra layer of tension, knowing that you're being pursued by some of the most iconic figures in horror.

The developers' commitment to consistently adding such renowned characters demonstrates a dedication to keeping Dead by Daylight fresh and relevant. It not only caters to the existing fan base but also attracts new players intrigued by the prospect of facing off against or embodying these well-known personas.

For those who share a passion for horror games and have dedicated significant time to Dead by Daylight, the enduring appeal of the game is evident. It not only captures attention but retains its grip, making it a worthwhile investment for any horror gaming enthusiast. I recommend it to all my horror fan boys and girls alike! 8.5/10
