So you're here to know if you should buy this game and put some hours into it? Well, as someone who started playing it in the last part of early access and someone who's put 100+ hours into the game, I can probably give the most relatable answer, compared to someone who has been playing for a while. For context, I've put several hundred hours into similar games like Valheim, World Of Warcraft, Skyrim, and Cyberpunk 2077, to put it into perspective.

This game has blown me away. The voice acting and dialogue are simply marvelous! Every single voice actor did such an amazing job that you can immediately tell each and every one of them did what they did with great passion. Each line of dialogue flows effortlessly, thanks to the amazing writing. The story and characters are fantastic! Even though the dialogue is great, the story is one of the weakest parts of Baldur’s Gate 3. It doesn’t hurt the overall quality of the game; however, it is quite clichéd. Nevertheless, combined with a diverse and compelling cast of characters and deep roleplaying mechanics, the story is overall interesting and worthwhile.

Now, you might ask about the sound and music. Well, Baldur's Gate 3 has an amazing soundtrack that will surely stick with me for the rest of my life. Hearing “Down by the River” for the first time in character creation and “Song of Balduran” in Act 3 have become some of my favorite moments in gaming. Going back to camp after a hard-fought battle and hearing all these fantastic songs while chatting with your companions—now that is indeed special.

Moving on to the gameplay, Baldur's Gate 3 presents a rich and immersive experience. The turn-based combat system is tactically engaging, and the variety of skills, spells, and environmental interactions keep encounters dynamic and challenging. The ability to explore the world freely adds a sense of adventure, and the level of detail in the environments is awe-inspiring.

Character customization is another highlight. The depth and breadth of options allow you to truly shape your character's identity. From race and class to appearance and background, the game caters to a wide range of playstyles. The inclusion of D&D 5th Edition rules adds an extra layer of complexity for those who crave a deep, authentic role-playing experience.

Multiplayer functionality is a significant aspect of Baldur's Gate 3. The option to embark on this journey with friends, each controlling their own character, enhances the cooperative storytelling experience. However, synchronization issues and occasional disconnections may hinder the multiplayer experience, and it's an area that could benefit from further refinement.

In conclusion, Baldur's Gate 3 is a masterful blend of storytelling, character development, and strategic gameplay. It successfully captures the essence of the beloved Dungeons & Dragons universe, providing a captivating and memorable adventure. Baldur's Gate 3 is a journey well worth undertaking!!! I highly recommend it! 11/10
