Interesting idea, poorly executed to say the least. The best implemented part seems to be the house building, and even that isn't at any impressive stage compared to other games with the same system,

A goofy take on the survival genre filled with a bunch of references and humor ranging from amusing to downright cheesy. Not particularly challenging past early/mid-game but it's still pretty enjoyable. About a 20-ish hour long experience

A worthwhile note: The autosave can sometimes be unreliable (only seems to trigger during plot advancement), so manually saving every once in awhile is a decent call (As I lost about an hour of progress doing something dumb at one point)

I can't recommend this game at all. If you're looking for a generic looter shooter to play that looks nice, and you don't care about anything other than grinding for gear then perhaps you'll enjoy it. But just know that both the game and the developers have absolutely no respect for your time or your money. Starting fresh nowadays is very awkward (and it'll likely get worse in the near future), your character will get dumped in at the beginning of the endgame content with very little guidance as to what it is that you should be doing. This won't affect early players much, but eventually you'll run into a system they like to call "sunsetting" meaning gear from earlier content is only capable of going to a certain power level that's under the current maximum, you'll be expected to grind new gear to replace it. This wouldn't be much of a problem except for the fact that in most cases this new gear is the EXACT same item just with a different content sticker slapped onto it that can reach a higher power level than the original.
Now for the biggest problem, in three months time[www.bungie.net](September 2020) Bungie will be removing 4 of the 9 destinations, as well the Leviathan from the playable portion of the game and putting it into the "vault". This will leave a total of 5 of the current destinations playable, only 2 of which have any real use for a player without the DLCs. Along with those 4 destinations and the Leviathan, ALL activities tied to them will also be going, including 3 of the 5 campaigns. This effectively will remove about 50% of the total game content, ending up being about 80% of the free content. In place of this a new destination (tied to a new DLC that costs about the same as a new AAA title) and a zone ripped straight out of the first Destiny will be added in, still resulting in a net loss on playable content. There's also a strong possibility that as more and more new DLCs get added, older content will continue to get added to their "vault" rotation system, this will likely include current DLCs that you can purchase currently, so be warned.

Actual hot garbage. Hi-Rez is one of those companies that cares more about constantly spewing out overpriced skins for their characters than actually making their game balanced and enjoyable.

One of the best free to play games I've ever played, DE is constantly adding new things to their game, from weapons and frames, to new enemy types, whole new factions, quests, map tilesets, and even new regions to explore. Big bonus points for the total lack of any pay to win aspect you usually can encounter while playing a F2P title. There are things that can only be bought with platinum (paid currency), but there is also trading between players, so if you get a mod card or specific item that a player wants, you can sell that item to them for an amount of platinum they find agreeable, depending on what it is it can be a substantial amount as well.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I put 94 hours into my first playthrough and still wish there was more.

Review a game for the Steam summer sale? Sure thing! This is Barony, it's good.

If you are reading reviews for this game, please ignore all these complaints about microtransactions that are clogging the review section, it's not like they are required, or you HAVE to purchase them.

now on to my actual thoughts about the game so far.
These are my pros for Deus Ex:MD:

- Patches, fixing misc issues every 2-3 days

- The game looks gorgeous.

- The populated areas feel alive with the amount of npcs chatting and/or going about their daily business.

- Prauge is filled to the brim with places to explore, and lootable items are all over the place.

- The gameplay is great, fairly similar to Human Revolution, with some improvements.

- The story is satisfactory (excluding the ending, see ♥♥♥♥), and most of the side quests are interesting.

- The new Breach mode is pretty entertaining and seems to have a decent amount of content, which is great for it just being a side-game.

♥♥♥♥:

- Deus Ex: MD could run a bit better, as of now I get around 50fps on an i5-2500 @3.3ghz cpu, GTX 960 2gig gpu, and 8 gigs of ram, while on medium settings. However I find it highly likely that the game will get some kind of optimization patch soon.

- Only one 'hub' zone.

- The ending was kind of disappointing, and felt almost unfinished.

If you are someone who's willing to overlook microtransactions (which honestly, don't have any affect on the game if you don't use them.), and you are a fan of the Deus Ex series, then this game is for you.

Gloriously fun, unique, and at times difficult rpg. Great storyline along with many hours of gameplay and replay-ability, Play the game more or less however you want. Want to be a mage who wears super heavy armor and wields a massive sword? Then go for it!
Invade (or get invaded) players and try to take them out for a chunk of their souls and humanity, summon friends into your world to assist with the zone and bosses, etc. If you are tired of the common rpg styles and are looking for a challenge, then I truly suggest getting Dark Souls and trying it. Yes it is easier with a controllers, but mouse/keyboard is still possible, I completed my first playthrough soley using mouse and keyboard.

One of the best fps games I've played in recent years, and that's saying something since I usually avoid the fps genre anymore. Quite good storyline, average playthrough takes around 12 hours, a stealth system that preforms suprisingly well, you can complete levels without having to kill a single hostile if your good enough with it. The mutants in the game are really well done aswell, unlike in for example, Left for Dead, where a zombie hoard doesn't worry me so much, the mutants in this game can make it stressful because they can sneak up on you or rush you with multiple targets which dont die as easily as human targets, so of the nastier specimens can take 10+ shotgun shells to kill.

All in all I give Metro 2033 a 9/10 and more than likley would of picked it up upon its release if I knew it was so entertaining.
