This is a mixed bag, mostly on the negative side for me. My experience is all on single player and PVE, haven't touched PVP. Early game is super fun, the map is huge and the taming and building mechanics are much better than, for example, ARK. However, it starts to fall apart after you intend to do something other than tame or build. Thralls are a buggy mess that half of the time decide to not attack. Enemy AI is no better, sometimes it just breaks and stops attacking. It happens both with regular enemies and bosses, that also get stuck on doors/stairs in their own arena. Boss battles are also completely lame and uninspired. Normally just a bigger and/or different colour than the regular enemies. The big bad boss that lives in the secret lair, seemingly the storymode end boss, is just a horde mode where he sends about 30 normal enemies (all of the same kind) 4 or 5 at a time, and then it just dies from exhaustion. The reward for finishing the storymode is also the deletion of your character, nothing else. The "cutscene" is about 3 seconds long and then the game just restarts with a new character.

The only endgame worthy content is a dungeon that was added after release, and they hired a modder to design it. It's a complete and utter embarassment and Funcom should be ashamed of the state of the game.

There are many videos showing the utter brokenness of this game, please do yourself a favor and watch those before buying.
