$20 is way too high for the quality. The game needs a lot of polishing to be comparable to the many other games of its genre (Animal Crossing, My Time at Portia, Yonder, Farm Together, etc). Plus I'm pretty sure I've seen some of these assets in other games ... Villagers & Heroes maybe?

This is a relaxing, classic HoG with some interesting art. The game is a little short; I wouldn't have minded it being longer. Getting 100% was straightforward yet fun.

I got this game because it was finally on sale, but even on sale it turned out to not be worth the price. This game is not worth ANY price. It's buggy, clunky, and a pain to play. The old solitaire PC games from the 90's were better coded and designed than this and even those games managed to have a bit of charm despite their limitations. This game can't even compare in any of those aspects, making the $20 price tag here feel like either a joke or a scam.

It's unpolished and not what I expected but I ended up really liking the game and was even a little sad because I completed it. The thing that makes this game stand out from other match-3 games that I've played is that you can move pieces diagonally. There's also no timer for the main mode so it was fun to just chill out to my own music and enjoy the gentle brain tease.

I've played a lot of bad sudoku games but this isn't one of them. I didn't experience any of the problems previous reviewers have mentioned so I'm guessing the developer has made improvements.

There are 33 puzzles total and they're all easy enough to do without needing pencil marks (which is good because this game doesn't have that feature.) They have a "curated" quality which I like. This is the only sudoku game I've played that is solved by dragging the numbers onto the board. It slowed me down a lot but ended up making the game into a relaxing, methodical experience, as opposed to the more intense speed-solving that I'm used to. Overall it was different but enjoyable. I had no trouble getting 100% of the achievements.

I came back to the game because I had heard it was updated (again) in good ways and yes, IMO it has been redeemed. The game has become pretty much everything that I had personally hoped it would be originally. There are some quirky issues but nothing that can't be endured if you're wishing for an immersive (and breath-takingly beautiful) space fantasy. There are different difficulty styles to choose from so I've noticed the game has a lot to offer to a variety of players (my 10-year-old plays this in Creative Mode, for example.)

Wow, I was mad when I wrote the old review. I'm glad I gave the game another chance.

----------------------------

What’s the point in discovering new planets (and plants and animals), plus naming and uploading them, if there’s a good chance that the next time an update comes along they won’t exist anymore?

I remained a fan of the game even back when the pendulum was on the side of "hugely unpopular". Yes, I thought it was expensive and was disappointed in the lack of multiplayer. However, I defended it because it was a great experience.

I had the most beautiful home planet. I was so fond of the animals that inhabited it. I spent hours immersed in the place, developing an attachment to its inhabitants and "story". My entire game experience was tied to that planet because it was my base, the home I looked forward to going back to after space exploration. I had hoped that if there would ever be multiplayer, I could share it with friends.

Then the new update came along and my home is gone. The planet is technically still there with the same name but it's been replaced by an unrecognizable frozen wasteland. The plants, animals, and resources it once had have also completely changed.

It turns out that this new update has altered the game so much that our already-procedurally-generated planets have been "rerolled" to be more challenging, even if you’re playing on Normal mode like I had been. I spent hours reloading a new game, trying to generate another habitable planet like I once had, but every single one was a hellhole.

This game used to offer an amazing dreamlike experience focused on exploration and some survival. Now it’s just another survival game but with fancy filters and the promise of very limited multiplayer. With my beautiful home taken away and with every new planet trying to kill me the experience just feels depressing.

I can no longer recommend this game because I’ve lost the trust I had left in the developers. Hello Games needs to sort out what the hell their vision is and develop some better business practices.

Super satisfying. The puzzles range from easy to entertainingly clever. My 7-year-old enjoyed helping me, too. It's probably thanks to her presence that I wasn't annoyed with the song that played ("This Old Man" over and over), because she loved it. If she hadn't played this with me though, the music would've been off.

100% completion for this game is no problem. I split the 100 puzzles into two sessions to avoid getting burned out. (Only the first 100 puzzles are needed for completion, but there are more than that to play if you want to keep going.)

A very sweet, charming little game for all ages. If you're fond of cats then this game offers a really nice experience. There are technically about 5 minigames and 3 have personal leaderboards. Some of the game involves puzzle-solving and a bit of exploration. The achievements are all pretty easy to get with the exception of one or two that just take some patience. The game is almost perfect but I just wish it had one or two more minigames to round it out. I got it on sale but I think even at the full price it's worth buying.

Plus my cats liked it, too. 9/9 lives

ZRoller (or "LandscapeMountains" as the game window is titled!) is about moving around as a heavy, unruly ball. The goal is to collect 51 fiery runes (called totems) in every level, however the counter in the game only goes up to 50.

There are 6 levels total, but each of them are just the same 1st level with various filters and lighting adjustments. The "3rd level" places a blur effect that is so badly implemented that the game lags on a really good PC.

The achievements are bugged. After completing the entire game and collecting every "totem", my achievements are still only at 84% because some of them never registered upon completion.

The design of the one level is of a small, enclosed space with some invisible walls and floating platforms that you need to magically hop around on. You can't move the camera to see what's around you so you can't plan very far ahead. It's super easy to fall, and to add to the difficulty, you don't know for certain what will happen to you due to the inconsistent barriers and the ball's fake shadow. You know how when you're trying to land on something in a game and you look to see where the shadow is down below in order to gauge where you're headed? That's not possible in this game. The ball does have a shadow but it's like it's 2-dimensional in a 3D world.

At first glance the game looks pretty but the assets the game uses were pre-bought or free and they are so poorly placed; there are floating patches of grass, grass stuck in walls, trees with no collision, trees WITH collision, and for some reason the upper part of the area is a fire asset that has (yet again) been poorly added. The music itself I kind of like but it loops endlessly with no variation.

Lastly, another example of the lack of effort put into this game is that even the cards are lame, named after the assets ... some of the greats being "Tree" and "Water Plants".

I do not recommend buying this game even if it's on sale, as it will give money to someone who wants cash for no effort. Achievement hunters, stay away. You might not be able to 100% the 300 achievements. The developer responded in the discussion forum to a player who complained about the bug and said it was fixed but that was before I got the game and it's still broken.

All in all, a lovely 1/10.

It's the classic Snake game but with subversive (and very British) humor. At first glance it may look like the developer is trying to make easy money, but 1) all the money goes to charity, and 2) the game is made with original graphics and voice-recorded sound effects which requires a lot more effort than many people realize.

If you want to 100% all of the achievements, you might find yourself struggling to get the last 2 or 3. But personally, I feel that the Jacket Potato song alone makes up for it.
