Once upon a time, I would have reccomended this game? But not really anymore. The community has gone to the dogs and become really hugboxy, with a huge influx of people who spout things like "you don't pay my sub" or "i play how i want to" and just generally ignore that FFXIV is a team based mmo and make your experience in dungeons and trials generally miserable. Outside of content the game is flooding with WEIRDOs. Like. "Sit in the middle of a city naked and ERP" levels of weirdo.

Also, every single patch has less and less actual battle content. It's all gatherer and crafter and roleplay and casual appeasement now.
The past two tiers of Savage (the high end raids) have been a disappointment, just 4 flashy bosses in a box each, and the extreme trials have become laughably easy? There's just. not much to do anymore.
