Don't waste your time (or money). Game is slow, sluggish, feels like a chore to play. Not worth.

First time playing a MonHun game. Absolutely fantastic! The systems are pretty easy to grasp, and fairly quick to do so.

UPDATE:
Game gets better and better as you progress; you just gotta get through the beginner crap for it to "get good". Stay the course - it DOES get better. Game still has a long way to go and needs a lot of tweaking.. which is why this "thumbs up/thumbs down" review system blows.. we need a star rating system. I'd give PoE2 about 3 out of 5 stars in it's current state. Extremely playable, just gotta get through the crap. (Hardcore player? Don't even try, its useless in hardcore - go play PoE1 instead for HC)

I'm sure this game will be great in a year or two, but right now? It's lacking a lot of the fan-favorite features that PoE1 has obtained over the years. Why did GGG basically start over with this? Why announce a game and push it into early access until you have a lot of the features that people enjoy? They were/are making bank from the MTX in PoE1, there was zero need to push this out right now.

Having that said, the game is just... lacking. The loot, the skills, the progression. IDK, just feels like something is missing. I'll change this review when GGG adds more "stuff" to the game and changes the loot a bit more (I miss seeing thousands of items drop all the time), and when they change the skill system a bit more (Just doesn't "feel" good yet).

Also, NONE of the MTXs I purchased in PoE1 are usable in PoE2. So, beware there too.

A fun little time waster. Dev is super active and always adding new features too! (also, the mobile app is a fun "side addition" to this game as well)

This game just isn't fun solo, and the devs keep making it harder for solo players.

I'll probably never stop playing it, as it does have a lot of fun elements (and has gorgeous scenic views), but unless you have a bunch of bros to slay bots and bugs with, prob best you just find a diff game - at the very least, until devs stop making this so hard for solos.

Update 5/29/2024:
Just tried to do a mission on EASY difficulty as a solo player, and still failed it. How? Why? The devs are out of touch with the solo player base. Game definitely isn't fun anymore.

Hard pass on this garbage.

Hard nope from me. You use up "command points" every time you do anything in the game, and you run out pretty early. I ran out in the first 5 minutes of installing. If you have zero command points, you can't do ANYTHING.

Avoid this game.

Been playing this game the last 3 or 4 days (32 hours played accumulated in that timeframe) and been LOVING it! For all those coders, potential coders, script-kiddies, and even professional software engineers/developers, you'll all love this game and the endless possibilities! I've been loving creating automation scripts in this game. Definitely worth checking it out if you enjoy coding! (Javascript / Typescript)
