Enter the Gungeon, a roguelike top-down shooter with many silly guns and interesting mechanics. I would recommend this game to anyone that liked the Binding of Issac as there are many similarities in the gameplay. As for a new player to the genre, be prepared for a learning curve, as you will need to get good at rolling and using your resources in order to succeed. My personal favorite part about the game is the diversity of the guns and the synergies which keep each run feeling fresh and unique.
