Ignore the freaks downvoting this game because it has trans people in it. This game sucks for real reasons too.

General sentiment around this game right now is, I think, reflective of the Smite player base as I've come to know it in 3,500+ hours of the first game: low IQ and ignorant.

This is absolutely an alpha right now and is missing some pretty essential QOL features, especially HUD adjustability and text chat. That said, the updated mechanics and changes made to itemization are rock-solid. If you can tolerate some transparently early-access stuff, there has never been a better time to learn this game before the number of gods and items ramps back up and this thing is better and meaner than the first game in every way.

The problem with this game is going to be the problem with the first game: the nature of it being an action-oriented MOBA that puts as much effort and attention it does into non-conquest game modes tends to attract the dumbest people on the internet. Party up with some friends and mute the morons though and this thing will sing just like the first game did.

One of the best games of 2023. Feels like a game à la Syndicate or Singularity or Call of Juarez: Gunslinger where people will largely ignore it for 10 years before discovering it and loving it.

There is no other game quite like Kenshi. It's janky, it's obtuse, it's deep in the wrong places, and it has left me with some of the best/funniest stories I have to tell from video games.

The greatest RPG of all time. Figure out a way to play it that doesn't involve giving the people that now own ZA/UM any money.

I recommend this game with a caveat:

The invasion multiplayer is bad. Bad connection, bad balance, bad everything. Turn it off. The AI Julianna is not smart, but she provides a challenge different than "blink at them with a machete until they're dead."
