100% review here, I'll be talking about a couple different things here, all opinions provided are just that: opinions, and might not encompass all of how other people may feel while playing this game.

Personal review of the game/why I do or don't recommend it:
Spiritfarer is a really honestly sweet and moving game. You will spend the whole playthrough feeling attached to the characters and their stories, along with the world you find them in. Each character is very unique and provides a new perspective into life as you take them to pass on. It's been years since I got the last achievement and I still think about some of my experiences with it extensively. If you're looking for a game to make you all emotional and sentimental this one will do it.

Multiplayer:
This game does have some co-op compatibility, albeit limited. There is no online coop support which means you will either need a good local friend/partner or remote play, and of course, a controller. Your companion will play alongside you in the form of Stella's cat, Daffodil, and while he can't progress the story events or interact much with the NPCs, he can do menial and repetitive tasks around the ship, such as fishing. I'd argue it's more of a "little sibling wants the controller" role but in honesty my spouse tagged along for a good portion of my playthrough and perfectly enjoyed themself the whole time.

Replayability:
I wouldn't necessarily say there's a whole lot of replay value here. The game is a long one, after my final achievement I was sitting at a little over 90 hours, and that was with some rushing around toward the end. I think after some months or years pass it could be nice to revisit and experience it again with a fresh mind and new wisdom, but you won't find yourself having much reason to repeat playthroughs casually. You may however choose whenever you want to end the game so if you enjoy just collecting things, fishing, cooking, and taking care of your guests you can do that for as long as you'd like to.

Achievement Hunting:
Achievement hunting this game may be considered a hefty task but there are honestly far bigger and more daunting games out there. Most of it is collection or story based, a small few are decision based and may require a second playthrough or savescumming. I didn't really notice myself struggling or becoming frustrated with any particular achievement, but I felt it becoming sort of a chore toward the end- however this was largely because the last major content update dropped JUSTTT as I was about to get the last achievement so it meant two whole new storylines to get through before I was done. I think completing the game naturally without being blindsided in that way would be a lot more fluid and enjoyable.

Visuals:
Oh, this game is just beautiful. The character designs are very charming and the scenery almost couldn't get better for a 2D game. I was really captivated by the environment and could tell a lot of love was put into the game to get it to where it is now. If you're looking to add games to your collection with lovely and entrancing art styles this is going to be one of them.

Lore:
The lore is fairly simple and easy to follow in my opinion. You will come to understand how the characters you meet passed away and came to you, their inner conflicts and personal battles, their relationship with Stella, their favorite things, aesthetics, and complicated personalities. Some things require inferring a little bit of subtext (as is to be expected with most tasteful depictions of death) but it's all fairly self explanatory and well written.

Overall Spiritfarer was a worthwhile experience. If I needed to play it again I definitely would not be complaining, and I think if you're already on the fence about it then this should be your nudge to go for it!
